For some time, I've wanted to get some of my reps out of cases and into a cabinet.
Now the colder weather has set in, I've finally got around to doing it. Here are the results -- 3

.....and make sure when wearing your 7750 to only move your wrist in one direction

Looks like a non-stick frying pan with some scrambled egg in it.

Well, when I first joined this forum, I was addicted to beautiful watches.
Nowadays, I'm addicted to beautiful watches.

Has anyone bought from nicecopy?
What's even worse than not being bothered to find the trusted dealers, and not doing a little reading before asking your question, is starting a thread and not reading peoples responses.
You have two choices; listen to the advice you're being given, or place an order with nicecopy.con and see what turns up, if anything. Pretty simple really.

"I believe in an America where millions of Americans believe in an America that's the America millions of Americans believe in. That's the America I love." –Mitt Romney (January 2012)
A genuine quote from someone who tomorrow just might be in charge of the most powerful nation on earth.
Am I frightened? You bet I am.

I don't have a car, but, I do have a UV torch... I've found that gives the best charge to the lume
+1.
Bought the torch for curing UV adhesive when fitting new crystals, but most of the time it's used to charge up the lume on my bedside table watch.
I get some strange looks from my wife when I lick the crystal in the morning and then polish it with my (clean) socks. Morning rituals......

Without commenting on the aesthetics of the watch, we all know that the Chinese will only rep something that will sell in volume, so whether they could or not is irrelevant because there's no motivation to try.

To all you guys on the east coast of the U.S., I hope the media is over-hyping this situation.
Whether it is or not, though, please don't treat it too lightly, keep you and yours safe.
It may not always be obvious, but your cousins this side of the pond do actually care!

Nice sentiments, Legendkiller, and nicely put too.
I would particularly echo your thoughts on how much you learn on this forum, knowledge that when asked for is freely given.
Congratulations on your 1K

It's a tool for breaking the thumbs of people who ask 'where can I get the best Sub'.
-
you have to break the top surface then i put them in a strong alcohol like nail polish remover in the ultrasound cleaner
But nail varnish remover is basically Acetone, not alcohol, and he's already tried that.
If you can lay your hands on some Toluene, I'd try that.

I suppose sooner or later, everyone who loves and collects watches gets involved in attempting a repair of some sort. Very often the outcome of this first try determines whether it's the first of many, or the first and last!
I hope this all goes well for you. The first time I repaired a keyless works, it went like shelling peas, the second time, I ended up crying like Homer Simpson.

Great thread. The car analogy is a good one. Keeping it and expect it to run properly - change the oil.
Getting rid of it in a few years - roll the dice.
So, if you follow the analogy, and your car is worth $20,000, you'd be happy to pay $15,000 to get it serviced?

Nice first try, may I suggest adjusting the length on the next attempt. :-)
Seriously though, very nice. It's way better then any strap I've made.
I took the measurements from a leather-strapped watch that fits me really well, the only difference was the thickness of the leather.
Still on the learning curve, I'll know next time!

Just a few quick phone pictures of my first stab at making a strap -

why do you always need to find excuses to justify the purchase of reps. And how can you compare tan to a replica product. Maybe he can afford a vacation in bahamas for real tan but have no time, but you wear replica because you cant afford the real one. Dont become too obssesed with them. I hope one day you will realize why its wrong..
I can very easily afford the real one, and I don't feel the need to justify buying a rep. I buy it because I want to - that's all the justification I need.

My boss had exactly this rant at me when I told him a watch that I was wearing was a rep.
The funniest thing is that he couldn't see the paradox of saying this whilst he was wearing a gen Omega and a fake tan.
Apparently, it's all wrong to wear a watch that isn't the 'real thing', but quite O.K. to lead people to believe that your tan came from a sun-kissed beach in the Bahamas, and not out of an aerosol made in Hong Kong.
It's a funny old world........

...wish I was in the pink....

My prediction is that shortly after you learn how to remove the stem, you'll be learning how to repair the keyless works
But don't be discouraged, there's so much pleasure to be had in working on your own watches.
Read the tutos, ask questions, take your time, and learn from your mistakes.

Jeager LeCoultre Master Compressor Memovox
Jeager LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph
Jeager LeCoultre Master Compressor Geograph
Jeager LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT
....and perhaps when they rep these correctly, they'll also spell Jaeger correctly.......

I don't know you, archierocks, I'm a noob here, but my heart goes out to you and your family.
We've had our own heartaches in my family, I won't bore you with them here, and me getting back into reps was part of my getting back into some sort of normal world.
I hope one day that you can find some solace back here on this forum, and I hope I'm here to see it.

Thats a super watch you have there! where did you get the dial from and case?
Why am I calling you Aerotime when it's Aeromatic?
Thanks for the compliment. It's just a Silix $85 cheapie. I bought two, they were my first ever modding projects. I did the first one for my son, and then this one for myself. Both essentially the same, except his one had a gilt second hand, and I did a white one on mine. All the parts are stock - reworked the dial, shaved the plexi, drilled the lugholes and fitted 2mm pins, strap came from Ebay.
I think the whole thing gave me change from $120.

Watches I would like to see repped, correctly?

Thanks all for your kind comments.
@Indywatchguy, the cabinet came from Ikea, but I bought it some years back.
