  1. Here's the thing about the 15300 and 15400 though... There is no way the display caseback will ever look remotely right.... Unfortunately that bugs me quite a bit because the 15300 and 15400 rotor is probably the most beautiful and DISCUSSED rotor I've seen in a while. Now if its the closed back I'd pick it up... But only if the finish is like the diver... You know... Super rep-esque finish....

On a side note, if they ever pull off an amazing rotor and accurate caseback on the 15300/15400.... I'd drop cash on that immediately...

  2. Daytona, that to me looks like one of the best alignment of the markers and the dial I've seen in a while. The cyclops looks correct to me. Its only blue on certain angles and it doesn't look like the early v3. It's a difficult rep to tell in general. You need to know what to look for such as the font of the inner bezel. Outside of that, its pretty dang hard to tell. Yours is as good as it gets when it comes to a V3/3.5 diver. Hold on to it dearly!

  3. Got mine last week... Its simply amazing. I know what everyone means when they say pics doesn't do it justice. The dial is perfect... There's enough detail for you to appreciate the design such as the dial pattern but not so much where its crazy. But the really amazing thing is your wrist just disappears when you look at it... It takes all your attention and you think you're looking at a picture online which is amazing. You know that feeling... Hmm I wonder if I can pull it off? You dont get that anymore.... Your hand disappears like a wall in an art gallery and the diver is the mona lisa.

  4. I have had issues with my V3 diver fogging up in the cold... But it disappears quickly when i get into a warm room. It's actually trapped moist air in the watch and the watch itself is actually waterproof in a cup of water. You just need to get the humid air out and seal it in dry air conditions.

In your case it's probably different. That amount of moisture typically appears when water have entered.

Bell&ross BR01 reps can be a bit finnicky because of how they are actually sealed.... The watch itself opens from the front and has a square cover. It only has 4 screws to hold it down and the pressure point is nowhere near the o ring. This makes it very likely to have gaps where there is a lack of pressure holding down the gasket causing potential leak areas. I'd suggest trying alternative O rings... Perhaps slightly more robust ones or different sized ones. Or tighten the sh&@ out of it.... But that would tear your screws up probably noticably. Good luck!

  5. So I did get the diver which is still on the way... Naturally I kept on looking at pictures online and I started to fall down the rabbit hole deeper and deeper.... I never paid much attention to APs previously but the more you look at it in scrutiny, the more I think its perfect! I mean the shape, the pattern on the dial. The simple elegance to it...

I got the Hublot classic fusion before and it was one of my favorite watch before selling most of my collection to fund for the diver and some other stuff. Seeing that the RO classic looks alot like the classic fusion but better, I'm looking at the most perfect rep of the simple RO classic.

  6. Hi there! So the diver's a super rep and the safari is pretty dang close so... Is there a flawless or nearly flawless rep of the classic AP Royal oak? I love the diver and all but I'm a big fan of formal & dressy watches. Breguet and vacheron constantin are my brands of choice... But now with my new found obsession with APs. I'd love to get a royal oak as thin as they really are on leather...

  7. I think if you follow this forum and make an informed decision on your first rep you will be pleasantly surprised. Imho people have very low expectations of reps if you are relatively new to this hobby. I feel that most people's idea of a rep is the canal st type of garbage.

After that comes the pursuit of perfection with mods and the slightest imperfection being unacceptable (like a speck of dust under the s of swiss made, Curse you mr dust!)
