  1. When I read the subject I thought you were announcing that your new best friends were Elton John and George Michael, D.
  2. My thoughts exactly! "Forty years of hurt, never stop them dreaming.." (no apologies to Skinner and Baddiel).
  3. White numerals. The orange numeral, black bezel version wasn't available in February...
  4. The 42.5mm ETA rep is a top class piece, no doubt.
  5. Hmmm. You look at the bracelet and bezel and think 'not bad', then your eyes go to that dial that looks like it shrunk in the wash....
  6. Someone obviously traced back the hits to their site...
  7. @'tourbillon1801' The watch you received isn't the same model as this one, as has already been said. I am currently 'in waiting' for a 22mm rep rubber strap to appear that will fit this case. Then I will be ordering the case/strap combination 'sans' movement and dial and transplanting the internals of my 45mm Asian PO.
  8. The 45/20 (45mm case, 20mm lug space) ETA movement Planet Ocean isn't a good watch. I've been critical of it in the past and don't really understand where the impression is coming from that it is worthy. The case and caseback used are the same as that of the first (and so far only) generation 45mm Asian mvoement PO rep. The dial quality is inferior to the Asian rep. The strap is of course incorrect. The fact that it sells for almost twice the price as the Asian has always made the ETA one a poor value choice IMHO. The 45/22 is an improvement in many ways (it comes with the better 22mm strap you describe, it is thicker - probably too thick as it uses the caseback of the 7750 chrono PO) but suffers from having the short hands of the 42mm rep.
  9. Nope. The listing mentioned box and all papers included. Definitely a scam artist, and a poor one at that.
  10. Just a wee correction to the guide. The Breitling Calibre 17 as used in the Seawolf is a decorated ETA 2824-2 movement, not 2892-A2 as specified above. This makes the replica even more stunningly superbly accurate!!
  11. Over here in Europe we are metricated, so under Brussels legistlation these will have to be rebadged 'Metre-Master'.
  12. Been pulled, so someone somewhere was on the ball.
  13. The box is certainly rep, but the overexposed picture is doing a desperate job of hiding the CG's/pearl/date window etc. Giveaway is the etched logo on the glass - a bit too visible from a distance. Fake, and a very VERY stupid place to try sell it.
  14. Oi, I'm the Bond Meister here Bond's new watch (well, one of them)...

    Rwg C1

How disheartening! As an observer from the sidelines (I thought about buying into RWG Collaboration1 but held back) I hoped this matter had been put to bed. It may have been better if the watches never surfaced because now we have a separate problem. I hope those who received refunds AND watches either pay back what they got (especially in the light of the recent funding blip here at RWGII) or sell their watches if they don't want them anymore and put the proceeds in the pot.
  16. I won't do what Neil did and dump the contents of my DVD database here Got a soft spot for From Russia with Love. Having watched the restored Ultimate Edition recently I appreciated once more how subversive it was for a mainstream movie at the time.
  17. I'm with da boss on this one. Regardless of how trustworthy the dealer is, cash through the post is a no-no as it is FAR FAR too easy for an empty envelope or no envelope at all to arrive, and every major postal service flatly refuses to pay compensation for cash lost when sent through the post. If PayPal is not an option then I'd be sending a personal cheque within the UK or bank transfer overseas.
  18. Here's 'her' details.. Miriam Rivera.
  19. Looks gorgeous! Hope you can save the hands too....
  20. Understandable mistake to make...
  21. Do you really think that sort of thing matters to most women? You know in your heart of hearts that quartz makes more sense anyway...
  22. Hmmm. Possible market hole to be filled there.... I bought my other-half a pink MOP Daytona. She loves it. I'm not usually a fan of Daytonas as I associate them with blokes with hairy chests and medallions, so the irony of the girly one is quite entertaining.
  23. I'm not at all surprised to see how many people have been introduced to hi-end replicas by Paul! Does this mean he does have the 'best' Sub? Anyway, please continue...
