  1. D, you are a legend bro - along with the other Legend in SG! WTRC looks incredible!!! Nicely done, as always. I would never expect anything different from you!
  2. Amazing, bro!!!
  3. Ive used Vac several times, for various brands. He certainly does good work, is knowledgeable, responds promptly, and of course is a trusted vendor too. No worries there or with using him, although wait time can be kind of long. Send your watch in confidence.
  4. Absolutely excellent thread and glad I stumbled upon it! Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed the read & info!
  5. So, are you going to sell these for other fellow franken owners? Approx when do you think, and approx how much? Very nice work, I really like the cyclops! ;)
  6. ? Anyway, bump for a beauty!
  7. I want the boat...!
  8. Did you build this yourself w Spin, or buy it finished from quanta stanley (Domi built) on Rwi? Simply curious, I remember the FS thread over there... Cheers mate!
  9. Wowww a NEW style Rubberclad franken! I've only seen one more of these ever made (Daytona1984).... Huge congrats to you bro on my fave Roo!!
  10. I know it's an old thread, but some GREAT info here OP! Thank you! Andddd one year ago now, the fantastically-repped Bee came out. I hope you got yours, OP!
  11. Nicely done pal !
  12. Thanks a lot brother!
  13. I was unaware of that.... Like we discussed in the other post, neither is perfect - and they both have drawbacks! Such is the rep game, lol
  14. Well said on all accounts Legend, DEFINITELY very model specific. JF has better crystals, straps, and clasps indeed. I too HATE the JF datewheel font though! Noob does pay a bit more attention to small details and dial colors I think. However, in the Rubberclad situation (OP's question), exactly as you stated - I feel the JF is the better choice as the most important aspect to me above all else is the closer rubber coated steel bezel instead of having a Roo "Plastic-clad". Cheers!
  15. I may be wrong, but I don't think Orchard Road or 57th Street are still in production/available brand new. You can check M2M though. If getting the black Rubberclad, get a JF/J12 version FOR SURE!
  16. Most JF cases are indeed a tiny bit thinner (i.e. closer to gen) than Noob cases! They both have positives and negatives, however.
  17. Rubberclad black dial...
  18. Exactly, no Bee parts out there. Only our man Z has a set.... Interesting about not being done again - a truly unique/one of a kind build you have then!! I hope you wear it & get some use out of this one, D. All the best buddy!
  19. Both 42 but the JF is a hair thinner/closer to gen!
  20. Both are absolutely stunning, OP!
  21. Sorry to bump an old thread, but not only is this a GREAT tutorial - but, it shows what happens to a bead blasted finish after some use (before photos.) I also absolutely love that blue gen dial and case color combo! Gorgeous and nice work!! What did you ever end up doing with yours? I know it was a while ago, but did you have any photos by chance? Post them here!
  22. Yes I've heard these can develop quite the problems over time....
  23. (I know it's old) But I think this may quite possibly be the most interesting & informative thread I've read about our watches to date!! Thanks a million for sharing
