  1. I received these two dials today and I am getting very excited. I just sent my 1680 out yesterday to get modded by Kenny next door, and now after a few weeks of waiting my Yuki dials arrived. They look great! Especially the gilt 5513. I am not sure if it is printed gold or actually gilt but they do have a very gold leaf look to them and very flat. Not like the metallic gold print used on my gen Black Bay. I thought I was going to have to get these relumed but actually they look pretty great as is so I might save a few bucks. The 5512 white looks good as well. The font spacing is definitely more consistent then on my MBW dial and it has a glossy finish to it although I don't think it's as close to gen as I originally thought. But for the price I am very happy with it. I can't wait to get dials fitted, unfortunately since I suck at removing hands I am going to see if one of our watchmakers can do it for me.
  2. I just ordered the Marathon set. Ill report my findings when they arrive
  3. I see what you're talking about. Most likely they removed it to fit on the replacement bracelet. Eh, I'm cool with it. I don't want to have to refit the bracelet to the signed blade. Thanks for the info though.
  4. Is that a phong insert you ended up getting? Looks like a nice fat font. I like the MBW insert very much, the triangle is really nice at 12 but since I actually bought 4 MBWs I kind of want some variety. Looks like a good start though. The MBWs I got have varying degrees of lum glow and color. Some more white and flat, some more yellow and puffy. I am curious so know what you find with the crown and tube as I have just ordered a gen set based on the statement another member made in another thread specifically about the MBW crown. He said a gen crown can fit on the MBW tube but when I compare my cartel with Athaya crown/tube to the stock MBW, the Athaya tube looks thicker.
  5. I think I found a pretty cool bracelet on eBay in my search for something decent but moderately priced. I found this bracelet on eBay that piqued my interest. It was labeled as an aftermarket replacement bracelet from ETX. The last link and endlinks are stamped ETX where thy typical Rolex references would be. This confused me a bit but the clasp looked to me like it was obviously authentic Rolex even though the seller had marked the whole bracelet as aftermarket. After coming back to the sale a few times it was tempting. The sides were brushed and the endlinks looked exactly like 580s minus the stamp. I could see that he had listed the bracelet at $150 OBO, so I said screw it and offered him $100, he went for it. So it arrived yesterday and I think I scored something pretty sweet. The links and endlinks are definitely aftermarket, but very heavy and very smooth with nice smooth edges. Lightyears ahead of any rep bracelet. And the clasp, to me looks gen. I don't see why a company who bothered to brand their links ETX would then make a replica clasp and it is definitely not like any rep clasp I have. It is fairly aged and rebrushed to the point where the coronet has lost some of its definition, but I think it's cool and matches the age of the watch. For $100 I'm not complaining, it's only about $25 more then Yuki and the clasp alone is worth probably $150 if it is gen. I did have to borrow the divers extension and one link from my cartel bracelet as it was a touch too small and the divers extension that came with the ETX links was again not branded. That further makes me think the clasp is gen. Anyway, here are some pics. Tell me what you guys think.
  6. Thanks! That would be great. I will comment back on my findings when mine arrives. Worst case scenario it has a tube included and I will find someone to retap the case for the gen tube.
  7. I just ordered a gen crown but honestly, comparing my MBW to my Cartel build with Athaya crown and tube, the Athaya tube looks much thicker
  8. Nice, I'm watching a bit even though I don't really follow surfing.
  9. Hahahaha. It's funny because I just acquired a DW Paul Newman and after doing a bit of google searching I came across that same account. Thrilled with the watch though. Besides the fact that all the engravings on the clasp are misspelled besides the word ROLEX. Gotta love that 6239 albino
  10. Wow, that is absolutely breathtaking. Congrats! Wear it well and often. That should not be a box queen.
  11. For real?!?! I'll go buy one right now if that's the case. Is it difficult to make the stem fit or does it screw directly on?
  12. Rolexman or Rolexfinder? Rolexfinder says they have not found any 91350s but I did order a rivet bracelet at least.
  13. Beads of rice definitely has that old school vibe. I like the original bracelet best though, or rubber.
  14. Good to know! Thanks. Do you mind posting a couple pics?
  15. Trying to find some good bracelets, they are hard to come by. Seems like it's hard to come by the 91350. I see Yuki has a 93250 but it's $78. I don't mind spending the money but I just want to make sure it's damn nice out of the box for that cost. I have one nice 93250 already but I'm not sure where it came from. I think I got it in an M2M sale with a Snowflake build that originally came from Dazza if I'm not wrong. So would that be a cartel bracelet?
  16. +for Kenny. He is a standup guy who always does a fantastic job.
