  1. my last order with a TD was something similar.... adked for a model, yes it is in stock pls pay.... i pay and 2 days later "sorry the factory does not have it and thwy will have some new ones in 2 weeks"...... ok [censored] happens I choose another one..... bezel insert out of line... i reject and they INSIST there is nothing wrong.... I answer back i need to seek help in the forum... next day the show me that the bezel insert is fine, it was just the picture taken from the wrong angle... yeah right!

bottom line is, myself as well did not name the TD in this occasion (perhaps not as bad as your case) but it seems wherever you have a negative feedback from a TD you will get shot by other members saying that all is heaven.

since i joined this forum i have learned a lot, done plenty of research and trully believe that this cases must be open for the rest to see. At the end of the day a feedback is a feedback, good bad or medium it allows members to make informed decisions.... and not only on watch models.

how many times do i see newbys asking "who can source the best Omega?" and the answer is.... "welcome n board...and read the fn forum!"

Why can we be more open when serious miss trust has been experienced by a member and a nominated TD? At the end of the day we trust these guys with our cash sent to the other side of the planet.

  2. Sorry, I can't remember the price of the tool, but cheaper than getting a watchsmith to do it for sure. It's an easy job though, just make sure that you rotate the bezel anticlockwise when removing it so as not to damage the click spring.

    cheers bro

  3. hi people,

i am having trouble with one of the TD (i will not mention who at this time). From the first qc pics i noticed that the bezel insert is not in line with the rotating bezel.... something more than one of you has come across as i did my reaserch in this and other forums. The TD insist there is no problem.... perhaps my watch lingo is not getting the message across, or i am a bit to anal. Thoughts and help tips are appreciated.

  4. can you align the insert in the bezel? I am having some trouble accepting a SMP because of this... even worse when the TD insist that It is aligned

Well done, great choice. You just need to realign the insert and then it's as good as it gets.

    how do you do this

  5. Hi chaps,

I am currently in the middle of my hols in sunny Bodrum, Turkey afd find myself an IWC which i honestly do not know if its a replica from an original model or not... either way I like it a lot.

But first a review on Bodrum market and the replica shops.... seriously not the best quality and price, tons of quartz models and qc rejects from the top end replicas. And of course the mechanical movements are from japan and swiss....yeah right! If you mention this forum they bring top notch watches from a briefcase but want a wooping £500.00 for them.

However a day on my own while wife and kids enjoy the pool i saw this IWC. I think is a cracking looking piece which would need some mods. The crystal is single AR but i believe its mineral crystal rather than sapphire. The build looks decent and the dial details are well made and the full see thru case looks great. The rotor if inspected closely looks a bit tacky. What suprised more is the quality of the strap... nice thick leather looks the business wi no need to replace it in a number of years. Al of this for £85.00. My thoughts are to either replace the crystal or do a proper double AR so suggestions are welcome. I live in the UK so any tips will be much appreciated.

My apologies for the quality of the pics from the ipad and looking forward for your comments.

    Cheers

    B

  6. It has a screw down crown. Turn counterclockwise to unscrew it. 1st position is to wind it. Pull the cown out slightly to second position to set the day and date, then pull the crown out to the finally position to set the time. When done push the crown back in and screw it back down. Do not set the day and date when the time on the watch is between 10:00 and 2:00. I usually advance the time to 6:00 to set the day and date, then set the time. There are some threads about the A7750. I would recommend you read about them as there are some do's and don'ts that you need to be aware of to avoid screwing up the movement. Now post some Pics!!
thanks man.. you can find the pics on my feedback http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?/topic/153796-Ebel-Disco...-great-experience Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. hi guys, received my disco today from Toro. I will be posting a review soon but i need some help as this is my first rep and I do not want to mess it up. the watch seems alright, but i cant pull the crown at all.... is there anyone facing the same issue or do you guys have any tips? the crown moves but it looks like it is getting unscrewed when i do, so i stopped it there. thanks B Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  8. i always divide my life in 2 parts. Until the age of 7 i was a nice boy who would do as i was told, listen to Michael Jackson and other stuff. That until a older neighbour said to me "Brian, close your eyes... sit tight and enjoy". and suddenly BOOM!!!!

the most powerful [censored] riff ever heard my head was about to explode.... that song my friends was Master of Puppets, and i could not get enough of it. Since that day I am a metal fan till the end of my natural life!!!!

i have a 16 month old son.... and dear me he likes headbanging already!!!

  9. i am no expert in U-Boats.... but i just came from a business trip and one of the new top dogs in the company was wearing one, easy 50mm massive watch. I did notice the movement was not smooth but typically quartz one. I don't think this guy is the kind to buy reps. That was pretty clear when next day he had a stunning Hublot on his wrist.... again, it looked pretty gen to me. B********d!!!
