i know and it felt good.

i know! it felt like i found gold when i opened the box. it became worse when i asked for the price. he was too busy with buying 80's vinyl from a DJ that came in and said quite irritated "just 75 euro's will be ok" didn't know how fast i had to pay.

I don't know how to open it..... It's scary but i think it's a click-off case. my watchmaker opened it yesterday when i bought the strap in a second. didn't really pay attention since i was holding the new ingenieur Silberpfeil. Anyway:
I made a small video for you and cranked the sound way up when i put the watch next to the microphone, so you get an idea of what it does.
The humming is only hearable when you put it next to your ear, but last evening i heard it while it was laying on the couch next to me while reading a book. i'm so glad i walked into that little shop of vintage furniture. the guy had no idea what he sold. only costed me 75 euro's! i guess that's been all the luck in my life.p.s. more information about these movements is found here: http://members.iinet.net.au/~fotoplot/acctechesa.htm
and more specific about mine IWC one here: http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&IWC_150
Oh! and bout day/date wheels.. guess what i found as a spare in the box..
I'll make a full photoset of it soon. -
It's got a really cool "accutron" movement that IWC made themselves ( 9164 movement). gives a nice "hummmmmmm" and the second hand goes smoooooooth!
Indeed it looks like an old Yacht Club, i guess the case and dial is similar except that this one is "electronic" instead of "automatic" -

Hi all,
As some of you know i have the 3717 by Zigmeister bought from my buddy Watchfreund (http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/154313-sold-iwv-3717-legendary-v1-by-modelizer-video-highly-modded-gen-to-rep-comparison-pricedrop/) and I still love this thing.
It's a V1 case, and lately i've been thinking to push the limit a bit further, gen hands, gen dial, the works.
the only thing is : I've got no clue how to get my hands on a gen Dial and hands (and how to install them for that matter)
Can anyone tell me who i need to contact in europe to get this stuff done?
Kind regards,
Frank -

Hello, i'm new and utterly lost in the wonderfull world of replica watches.
I'm looking for the best place to get an Pilot's watch mark XVII, and offcourse, the most genuine looking. i live in the Netherlands.
Can anyone help me, and if i am in the wrong place here, direct me to the proper place? it's kind of overwhelming around here.
Thanks in advantage.
Frank.
Vintage IWC
in The IWC Area

Hi Paulza, Welcome to the forum! I haven't been around much myself, but just your luck! I'm here today!!
It looks like an old Portuguese from before the 70's. But be aware, watchmakers have been fitting different IWC Calibers, since the originals where hard to maintain.
After a while watchmakers fitted cheaper, smaller calibers and so it started to happen that way smaller square IWC calibers (designed for square IWC female watches) where put in these types of watches, dramatically decreasing the value of these things.
really hard to tell if this is the case with this watch... might have something to do with only 1 photo.
Anyhow, if you have 1800 to spend on a vintage IWC, i would rather pick an other one. There are classic's out there that keep their value, and will increase!
If you have only seen this model and just want an IWC, so you can say that you have an IWC.... Go get em tiger!
Cheers!
Frank
