  1. You cant wear a corvette on your wrist.. go for it !
  2. looks to me that the links and EL's are Yuki but the clasp is genuine.
  3. With proper tools no. Removing is a lot easier than installing. I use a Bergeon presto remover most of the time with a dial protector like this:
  4. T, I think combination of a couple of things. First, as others have said, the dial diameter might be a bit narrow. Secondly, the dial plate thickness could be a touch thin. And third, the dial/rehaut aperture on the Yuki case could be a touch wide and milled too high. If you reinstalled the dial with a couple of dial dots to elevate it, then it could help a bit. As far as replaceable rehaut goes, only the 16660/16600/116660 sea-dwellers have a separate rehaut from the mid-case.
  5. Yes. It does both. But it's mainly used to compress retaining rings as that's what stretches the most after repeated crystal swaps.
  6. Because of the tiny tolerances involved, bezels and retaining rings made in separate facilities can result in imperfect matches. Even as a retaining ring is removed and reinstalled as crystals are replaced, the metal will stretch. To ensure crystals remain secure, Rolex used to make plexis with slightly wider diameters for older watches. But, Rolex does have a tool (ref 1006) that is used specifically for reducing or enlarging the retaining ring and bezel diameters: Even with sapphire retaining/bezels (eg 16610), you can get mis-matches too. The tool above costs about $5k if you can find it. I sure would like one!
  7. Very nice! If I come across a gen dial I will let you know.
  8. T, Did the stem come with the movement? Is it gen or aftermarket? But I'll repeat what misikped said above, make sure the set screw is properly tightened to secure the stem. By the way. That dial looks much better than the Yuki and more period correct for the 5513 you were going for.
  9. Could be the most expensive ETA ever sold. Congrats(?) to the buyer.
  10. Congrats! Love that mid case and case back.
  11. Thnx. Will be putting on a gen bezel soon. .
  12. Congrats . Always good to see creative solutions. Looks great.
  13. If the bezel is gen construction, there will be a tension washer when the bezel is removed. It should be bent to create 3-4 "waves". This will "lift" the bezel to create more friction. Then when you want to rotate, you will press down slightly to turn. Not sure that's the case with yours but the bezel can easily be removed to see if there a friction washer in there.
  14. This is a reason why you should always ask a seller to send you a pic of the watch set to a specific time (e.g. 4:38 ) with the current front page of a newspaper.
