  1. Assuming dial is gen gilt, it's worth $6k alone. Oops. Just read the dial was refinished. Yeah. It's a head scratcher.
  2. I cannot receive messages via the desktop version of RWG. Even in tapatalk, I can only see new PMs through the "notification" tab.... Not in RWG section of TaT if you know what I mean. Anyone else having this problem?
  3. Link doesn't work. ok found it.... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/rolex-submariner-5512-Case-/121984714750?hash=item1c66db07fe:g:fEYAAOSw1KxXNMjv as the seller says, it appears to be a legit case (although the pics are crappy and missing a side profile shot), but its odd that the serial numbers were redone, yet the reference engravings look original. Most likely a watch that was stolen at some point and time.
  4. Congrats. If I recall, the case started out as a badly over-polished phong case (purchased m2m) that was restored as well as it could be given the circumstances. Thats the thing about Phong.. its sometimes a crap-shoot about what kind of case you get from him. Glad it all came together. it's been a long road for you.
  5. The closest Starbucks is 6 km away from my house. I don't think I could live further away from one within the city.
  6. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's made from all gen parts. Case, 3035, dial, ..everything gen sourced from different places.
  8. There was a time when the 666 was my favorite Rolex. I built this a couple years ago but regrettably sold it....
  9. An expandable rivet bracelet (e.g. 6636) has links that spread apart when a force pulls at them. The links are held together by internal "springs". When the force is removed, the links retract to original length. The links of a 7206, 9315, 93150, etc remain fixed when a force is applied. Non expandable bracelets encompass the vast majority of Rolex bracelets.
  10. No. The 703-0 tubes that cousins has is fine(correct) for a 5513 if you want to use a 703 crown. Depends on how period -correct you want to be. 1960's 5513's used 700-0 tubes. Early-mid '70's used 702-0 tubes, and late 70's-late '80's used 703-0 tubes.
  11. the 7mm tubes listed on that page is only the 703-0 tube (which only accept 703 or 704 crowns).. you cannot install a gen 700 nor athaya 700 (twinlock) crown on a 703-0 (triplock) tube. if you want to install a 700 crown, you will need a 700-0 tube.
  12. James Bond theme day: 6538 with regimental strap, Tom Ford "Henry" shades from Spectre
