yes, there are 42mm versions with 'professional' engraved on them. There's been QUITE a few discussions on the forum about this very topic.

if i were you i'd ask for better pics... the engraving looks a little shallow to be gen.. but then again... it might be the lighting...

Besides engraving should I ask for anything else?

I got this Omega bracelet that I believe to be genuine. Problem is it says professional on the bracelet. All the 42mm one I've seen only have seamaster and PO. Were there versions that have both?

I took it to the AD, and its gen. I'll post more pictures. I got to find a bracelet for it now. I may have to purchase it new from ofrei. I can't find a used one. Thanks for the replies.

I don't have the warrantee cards or the means to open it up. I purchased it for $1500 and it looks like it's never been worn. I'm going to take it to an AD in manhattan to verify.

Can you tell by looking up the serial number? Are common serial numbers known as fake?

Are there tell tale signs?

I am going to have to wait for a review before purchasing because of the higher price. Every picture that I see of the watch looks to have misaligned markers, and I want to see if that is the case. Even the stock picture on p-clones.com looks to have the 2 & 3 o'clock markers misaligned. Also, it will be interesting to see how waterproof the watch is.

$500 for no lume and missing markers? They better step up the quality for a $500 asian 7750. I know that this is just a rumor, but the price should not be more than $300 without superlume and a 3 o'clock marker.

Check out this auction for an IWC aquatimer. http://www.sell.com/22HJWD It is a replica of the IWC aquatimer, not the Cousteau diver. I am glad our replica's don't look that bad. I mean WTF is a year sub dial? What do you do with the watch after three years set it back to 2005. Not to mention the 100s of other flaws. The seller believes that it looks exactly like the original. Probably a 1:1 replica.

The ship on the caseback should have a rounded stern not a sharp angled one. I'm kidding, just being over critical. Overall I am quite impressed, the ar looks spot on. Can't wait to see final product. Lume is the biggest issue for me, second is the incorrect markers, and third is the wood caseback. I am looking forward to purchasing a 7750 ETA.

I took a closer look at the gen pics on the first page. Does the wood insert on back have a crystal over it? I can't see how they could replicate that case back 1:1. It will be interesting to see the finished product. What kind of wood is it on the gen. I know it came from the calypso, but where was the wood on the ship and what kind is it? Anyonme know?

Me too, lume plz. I won't be able to justify the price if it does not include lume.

The biggest flaw is the grooves in the subdials. Here is another pic of the gen:

The lume markers at 6 o'clock look like they should be the same as the ones for the 12 o'clock markers. Not elongated.

Anyone here have this watch? How does it look/ feel/ close to gen? I imagine the sapphire case is a give away to the movement, but how is it overall? Any wrist shots? I think this may be my first Omega rep.

Can you buy omega dials, hands, and pearl for the 45.5mm like you can for the 42. I have been hunting, but nothing has come up.
