  1. But angle grinding it would be so much more FUN!! Which screws gave the game away? The two at 2 and 7 o'clock in the picture of the back? (O'clock numbers reading as the watch is, not after straightening it up!) Richard
  2. I'm guessing that its just someone's handwritten note that had the watch brand, and some one else typed it into a computer. A U can easily look like a V. The shipper opened the package before leaving Canada? Boggle! I know all the airlines are paranoid about lipo batteries and suchlike, but that's mad. Maybe time to start thinking of purely mechanical things like spark plugs or wooden carved fertility figure, so they wouldn't even think that a battery might be inside! Richard
  3. I can clearly see why he has been given suspensions and a previous ban even though I've only been here a short while. From what I can see he likes to fly way too close to the limits of decency, goes about requesting features and asking for information in completely the wrong way. Most people are very different in real life to their online personas, some more so. I can quite believe he's a great guy IRL and different to here. But to write and publish what he seems to be about to, I'm sure most long timers in the gen forums knows RWG and the other forums exist, that modders and TDs exist here, and Z knows that too. It won't acheive anything unless the watch manufacturers (who know about these forums too I've no doubt) see it as a massive promotion about reps, which by the sounds of it, it's quite the opposite, so I think they'll be thankful he posted it. I think the net result will be sod all difference.
  4. Angle grinder. Gods answer to all and every stubborn problem
  5. Name and shame the seller. Whoever it is is a complete idiot for putting that in the "what's inside" box. Might as well have said "£5,000 cash".
  6. Some serious toolery going on there! I've bought about a third of that lot and still haven't used any of them yet, still building a place to work with them Richard
  7. An extra $700 on the eBay bill and you didn't notice?!!! Bloody hellfire, how much was the total bill? To me it looks like its worth $70 Richard
  8. Jonas, they will deliver, that's why they're trusted dealers here. But do not forget that these are being posted from China and can take upto 8+ weeks to arrive. Ok, normally it's 2 to 3 weeks but it can be a lot longer. You just have to be veeeeeeeeeery patient after you've ordered Another dealer to have a look at is WatchesInternational who have a special watches section (cheap watches) over at the other RWG forum - I don't know why they don't have the same sub-forum here? I've just ordered two cheap Omegas from them, an orange PO and a 50th anniversary Bond. Less than $300 for both Richard
  9. I've just received two Getat straps today for my Pams. Absolutely love the things. Good length, lovely soft leather which feels felt like, nice big punched holes, lovely stitching and thread and good buckle. Whichever 111 you end up getting I'd get one of these straps to go on it! Richard
  10. Love the new pup! Cute Richard
  11. Would be interested by Sheffield is too far from me, I'm in Milton Keynes.
  12. The multi function crown is a bit wierd! Slow twists, fast twists, normal position & 1 & 2. Easy when reading the manual, and easy to operate the basic functions when the watch isn't on your wrist. Happily I can count the number of times that I've actually used a watch chronograph on one, maybe two hands so that doesn't worry me at all
  13. Send it to me and I'll make sure he gets it
  14. Why is she eating straw? I'd sell the watch and buy a McYuck meal.
  15. I think it's just a re-branding exercise. I mean, "Noob factory" = "new, inexperienced factory"! It's about time they changed their name to "Old Timer Factory" or "Been Around A Bit Factory"
  16. I agree. The kind of person who forsakes their friends or causes that bit more hardship to the forum they use, just because they are not allowed to have a picture of a semi naked girl stuffing an apple up their ***** or taking a swim as an avatar really isn't that much of a friend. Chill!
  17. Was on morphine at high levels for 9 months - good stuff when really needed for a short while, not good for a long time! Hope the appendix op goes well. Richard
  18. Do you mean the avatars or the images in people's signatures? The avatars are tiny, but the sig pics can be a lot, lot bigger. Richard
  19. Cheers! After one (hurried) coat of white on the walls & ceiling its made a HUGE difference to the ambient light level. Used to be dark & dingy, not any more. One problem with all this painting is the solvents & stuff really strip the oils & tears from my eyes, problems sleeping and sore eyes last night & this morning. I've got drops and artificial tears spray so will be fine today. God knows how professional decorators do it! Richard
  20. You noticed the small beer fridge then? Richard
  21. Floor painted with two pack acrylic garage floor paint. Bare wood painted with one coat of white gloss, just about to do second coat. And I've found a huge tin of brilliant white masonry paint and a few spare tins of brilliant white emulsion so I might as well use them too on the bare brick walls and ceiling The garage will look like a strange operating theatre by the time I've painted everything.
  22. Eek, that's not an inconsiderable sum of money. Won't your ISP let you run a server 24/7 from home? Or is the speed too low? I've run loads of servers from home for the past 15 years with no problems. Not high traffic, but enough to make it worthwhile Richard
