    I recently built this and a few others.  They vary in many ways. I think most would agree there are 3 general  tiers of building reps and very directional price ranges, YMMV. 

     

    1. Beginner Build: Buy a basic cartel watch. Fade the bezel, soften the case and maybe age the dial a bit. $150 to $350 depending on mods or DIY 

     

    2. Intermediate build:  Cartel watch as base and then do the above stepsm. In addition, Shape the lugs, Cgs. Age dial, relume both dial and hands. Add better crown and crystal. $150 to $600 ish. 

     

    3. Advanced Build:  Get  gen spec case and dial. Do the steps above. Then I see people add gen, crystal and crown.  If you go all the way, one might add gen movement and hands.  $1200+

  5. Build 1665 brown (JKF)

    The tricky thing about tropical dials is, the brown color comes from faded black and it's not consistent across the dial.  Some dials fade more around the perimeter and are darker in the middle, while others are more faded in the middle and around the date window.
     
    I worked on a MQ dial for awhile using shoe polish to try and recreate the "darker in the center" faded look.  It was tricky working around the letters and indexes, and in the end I did not use it.

    I received my TC v6 a while ago and installed a gen insert and I can't stop looking at it and looking up pics of TCs as well! why is that?!

    Fairly new in the game here. Been collecting reps for a few years but slowly getting into Frankens. Heard about TC and BK earlier this year and got the bug since then.

    After a month and a half wait I finally got my TC v6 . The itch was so bad that in those 45 days or so I got a ZF v3 Tudor BB and a Franken Tudor 9210.0 from a member. Through my journey of tastefully modded subs, I ran into the challenge of finding proper #watchporn for TC subs... When the wait began all I sought after were some delicious TC PICS...

    Now that I got one.. I still have the bad habit of scouring the forums for some more pics ..

    For those soon to be TC members, I can only imagine the insatiable need for more #wristporn .
