  1. I agree with many here... 900+tax for this speedy (no paper, no box, no bracelet ) is not a bargain. I will either look for a full size moon watch for 1500 ~ 1700 or a better speedy (with box, bracelet...) for ~$800. Just look around the bay... they are there
  2. you did a great job. what you use for cleaning and shining?
  3. nice watch.....I'm glad I own this one.
  4. just buy the Breitling Steelfish...the collector (seller) ensure your the watch can go 1000m or money back
  5. When ppl think you are wearing a fake watch usually is because based on the way you look/dress.....more than the watch itself. I'm NOT saying a guy driving a 1995 Honda Civic cannot afford a gen HBB or Daytona but we know the chance is slim in general. On the other hand....who would think a guy driving a 911 with 3 house (using CC's example) will have a rep TT Rolex on his hand?? I guess the key is dress appropriately and wear it in confident
  6. I'm not too sure if Silix's PO (45mm) share the same structure like other u.PO out there. On some watches, the pearl is part of the insert but on my u.po (from joshna) the pearl is part of the bezel and it is not easy to remove it anyway....check out this link...a mod done by Vaccum, it may give you some idea how the pearl is looks like. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...21610&hl=po good luck
  7. u mean the watcher or...... gotta love those pic....
  8. nice smp you got there. looks like the date wheel is line up better on the rep
  9. the guy who did the stamping must be on drug that day
  10. this is something I don't understand....120m is kinda not deep enough for a true diver. btw..thanks for the notice. I correct the topic.
  11. IWC and The Cousteau Society are strengthening their collaboration, which began in 2004. Part of the proceeds from the limited Special Edition Aquatimer Chronograph
  12. Your IWC is the best I seen in many. No crooked marker at all. They should use this one as a "standard".
  13. I'm too worry about that...but if you are, you can use Olive oil instead.
  14. pretty easy actually...the spring bar I received from JB is well made. I just push them in against my dinner table and still good...both the bar and table have no damage. @delta....I can send 2 to you if you need it. Just PM me
  15. Thanks...I will contact them.
  16. I use the 1.8x22mm springbar I ordered from Jules Borel (thanks delta for telling me that site ). I have no problem to fit them in....just apply some wd-40 on the bar and it will go in much easy.
  17. very cool comparison shot. This is funny to see the rep looks more sharp in some area...like the rising crystal, bezel teeth, and the smooth edge of the case; those are "flaws" but they looks like "improvement" from the genuine beside the CG people mentioned...i think the other thing I can see the crown is not on center like the gen and some fit and finish on the SEL/bracelet. I believe those are not noticeable unless you really inspect the watch like a drug-sniffing dog
  18. Nice project....great looking watch. I think the a/r coating really made the wave pattern stand out, love it. @triplehd...do you mind to tell me where you buy that insert? the pearl on my smp chrono is uneven and I want to put a new on. Thank you.
  19. @corgi... you made a great example with the Smp Chrono. If we put the price tag on the side....who can say smp chrono is NOT super rep? or what about the TAG Link chrono.....a super rep too, right? You can say they are old model but in terms of accuracy level they are as good as those new IWC, HBB. I just don't understand why the new super rep model is $200 more than their "predecessor" btw...I have the smp chrono and feel very happy with this (old) super rep.
  20. I think he is a typical person who just buy a watch.... >> wear it and forget it << type. Same as those who think the best way to spot a genuine rolex is by looking at the sticker on the case back or try to see how smooth is the second hand sweep...etc. Yes...both of us like watches but to me they are "consumer" and we are "enthusiast". I know some people are like that, they may wearing a TT daytona everyday but do you think he know (or care to know) the meaning of "ref 116523G"? .... one time there's a couple who driving a 600SL (a car quipped with the most advance GPS system) and ask me for direction
  21. @Dylan....do you mind to PM me the part number of the crown/tube? My smp is fine now but I may consider to upgrade it later on. Thanks
  22. another way to say it is: Unlike regular SMP....on SMP Chrono the "HE" valve is suppose to be right at the 10'o clock position...our rep is 100% correct about this. As which chrono to own? I only have 2 (ferrari & Smp). I will vote for the Smp Chrono, nice detail wave pattern dial + 4 crowns, this watch is just beautiful
  23. who

    My SMP

Nice watch for the price....I don't think the pearl is that bad, I can't see all the detail from your pic but at least it is right at the center of the triangle. I start to love my smp chrono more than my u.PO mainly because of the very neat and detail wave pattern on the dial.
  24. I heard people have a hard time to swap the entire bezel with the gen one, the only way to make it work is to put the Gen Insert onto the Rep Bezel, is it true?
  25. Thanks for the pic.... I'm holding my 0008 and compare it to the pic, I couldn't find any different. The only thing I don't have is the box
