  1. Dealers source all their watches from the same places. Use the forum to research the watches you want, then find a dealer you like, then get them to source it for you. The reading and research you do will be the most important thing when ordering a rep As for APs, the best ones so far are: ROO: Sec@12 by Noob factory (bear in mind most of these are out of stock, so its best you email a dealer beforehand enquiring about stock level) Diver: v4.1 by Noob or v5 (both good) for stainless steel, or if you're after forged carbon, either get the H-Factory version, or v3 RO: Not sure about the other versions, but the best of the 15400 is either the BP factory version or the Z factory version And as always, read read read
  2. A rep being stuck at the point of destination when it is being returned is nothing new. I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Give it another week and ask the TD again
  3. 10000% cheap quartz rep of the Breitling Transocean - Chrono running - Typical quartz subdial location - Typical quartz date window - Cheap looking rep 'leather' strap
  4. RWI is going through a huge revamp, probably just didn't have any spam and registration bot filters in place at the time
  5. There's someone on the rep forums who DLC'd a Diver (before the Project X was released), and I can tell you it wasn't a quick, cheap or easy endeavour. I myself am planning on trying to mod a rep to look like the rose gold one on the left, by finding an AP bracelet then try to get it gold plated
  6. There's a 5k full Franken Panda for sale on RWI. Have a look when its back up again.
  7. It is titanium. Titanium reps have been around for a while now
  8. Your reasoning is understandable in why you started a PP dispute, but starting one is not your decision to make in the rep game. Even if you had approached the mods first, you pretty much disregarded them once you raised that dispute. You don't know what the resolution process for them is like, you didn't know how far along they were in solving the issue... But in any case, I hope it all gets resolved for you
  9. I feel embarrassed posting my poor photo right after all those really nice ones, but here's my Don Ramon that just came in
  10. Josh and Andrew had a falling out with the people at Noob a few years back, so their ability to source noob products are a bit more limited than other dealers. They have also in the past made a fair few false claims about Noob, like their factory is closing down and such. I would go for the Noob LMPO
  11. You're gonna need Gen dial and tach ring - around 1500+ LWO 283 movement 300+ (more if you're getting it from a donor watch) Then you'll need to mod crown position and pushers. You'll probably want to thin your gasket, case and backplate after that, then get a gen spec date wheel, and maybe a gen strap. You're looking at a couple of thousands and a couple of months if you're sending it off to get it modded. I believe there's a Franken Panda still up for sale in rwi for about 5k
  12. The v6 can only take gen strap, clasp and bezel (but apparently not very easy to put on). Gen parts must also be sourced on ebay or something like that as Hublot require your WISEkey when ordering anything from them. Also AFAIK, v1 parts are not interchangeable with v6 only mods most people do are Mikey's Ti screws and gen rubber strap, otherwise the v6 is already really good out of the box.
  13. 1: AP open heart/faux tourby rubbish 2: Hublot F1 looks like trash, white datewheel and not sunken (as per 7750 movt gen is based off) = crappy quarts 3: Classic Fusion, typical quartz subdials, too close centre, white datewheel 4: AP RB is also quartz, wrong date location, none of the visible screws/gears underneath - many members send this model to Domi to add those in Shame so many people tie their self-worth to people's perceptions of their wealth
  14. So in summary, the latest Safari version has - silver-lined numbers - rounded chrono pushers - a more cream coloured dial - off-white date wheel - some have said a supposedly better movement where the sec@12 is not so jumpy
  15. Nothing at all mate sorry. Replacing movements and servicing can usually be done at those small Asian watchsmith places because they're often more than willing to work on reps. As far as quality of their service goes, it a hit and miss.
  16. I'll stick to my pink Rolex thank you very much
  17. I would love to see Royal Oak chrono reps! But not till we find a thin enough movement and one with the right subdial positioning
  18. I've heard it's coming soon as well! In the meantime, there is a quartz rep available for the second one there
  19. any flat head screwdriver around 1.2mm should suffice
  20. Tourbys in reps are generally all very reliable movements from what i've gathered and come from gen Chinese movement factories - hangzhou, shanghai, tianjin with their fd3091, f8 and st8000 respectively. There are some more but those are some of the more common ones. As for your AP, that's probably a sec@12 issue and you'll prob need a service and/or jewel mod soon
  21. ^ what Pete said You should also throw out the idea of 'grades' of watches because if you don't, you'll too often get sucked into the [censored] that is "AAA+ Swiss 1:1". All reps have their flaws, some more than others. Buying reps is essentially thorough research and coming to an educated conclusion on what's right for you. In regards to your original question. Those watches are cheap because they likely have flimsy 21J movements (chronographs don't work), mineral crystal and just general horrible build quality and poor replication. I too started out buying those types of <$100 reps, but have thrown them all out once you get a feel for some of the more quality reps Good luck bud!
  22. 1) There is no such thing as AAA++++ or that 1:1 rubbish 2) In buying a rep, you're not looking on websites for information about reps. The information is right here on the forums 3) All dealers source the rep watches from the same place (ie. they don't make watches) 4) WatchEden is a trusted seller and have been around for a long time, being a dealer means they're trusted to not run away with your money and will ultimately try to make your happy ... how long and how well that they do that is another story. Read reviews and make your own informed decision. Buy the dealer. NOT the rep
  23. Glad to be of help mate The 15400 is not the Jumbo, that's the older 15300 which is 39mm. I guess it was considered 'jumbo' a while ago when it came out compared to even smaller RO back then
  24. Very interesting story! Welcome from a Sydney-sider. Just an fyi for anyone else reading, that site Joe mentioned is same as iparadisiac, known scammers for a while
  25. i'm 6.7 and have removed 2 of 6 removable link, there's also a review somewhere by someone with a 6.5 who removed 3 of the 6 links. I'm fairly certain it'll be fine on a 6.4. There might be confusion with the Royal Oak OFFSHORE bracelet which may not suitable for <6.5
