This one appears to be a little better, lume shot also looked a bit tidier.

This is the first LMPO pearl that I've seen that is misaligned.

Also, forget about trying to fix the crooked 1 in the 12 marker. Those that say it can be done are speaking in theory and not about the LMPO specifically. The dial is a painted glossy enamel so if you think you can move things around without messing it up then more power to you.

  2. I too considered getting the v5 versus other PO models. In the end I decided it was too costly to get the v5 up to snuff- new crystal AR, crown and tube, possible lume job. Although the LMPO doesn't really speak to me I'd buy it if they got the dial issues in order. Looks like a solid piece.

  3. Does anyone know when the Noob Models are coming out? I was gonna get one of the new ones with the rubber strap, but I am conserned about the fading issues this model has.

No one knows yet. Angus won't give any timeframe in his thread at RG. I think he doesn't know either. Speculating I would say the noob 8500 models are months out.

  4. Yeah, that doesn't look right and I've never noticed that before. Is this the v5?

Unless the end links have some substantial play in their fitment I don't think fatter springbars will help. Some members have swapped end links for gen (to fix the end link to bracelet gap) but without verifying your springbar placement I'm not sure this is an option for you.

Maybe a Omega 2500 series master can chime in?

  5. The only real similarity is the fact they are both chronos with sub dials at 12 and 6...

...And the dial colors, the colors of the indices and hands, the shape of the case, the font of the numbers is nearly identicle, even the chrono pushers are a variant of the IWC where they flare at the ends (albeit with less flare).

Seriously guys, I really like Tag but I'm not on their payroll so I don't feel the need to defend a pretty obvious design similarity to an existing watch. I know why they did it; the IWC port is absolutely beautiful and surely sells well. This thread is about why Tag doesn't get the credit they deserve and I presented evidence of a reason I believe this to be the case.

On a tangent, a while back I was looking for a high tech diver and was reading reviews on the Citizen Signature perpetual diver. They obviously took design cues from the Aquaracer - which i love. On that forum the diver was being totally flamed; people said it was nice but they wouldn't wear it due to the similarities.

In conclusion, I like Citizen but I'd expect as much from them. Although the 1887 looks good I was really disappointed to see this from Tag.

    Cheers guys!
