Unfortunately only part of what Corgi states is correct.
Yes it is important to get a good fitting suit but this is entirely up to the customer.
At Bergies I only want chest and waist measurements any other adjustment is to be done by the buyers tailor.

Hi Ken
Is it possible to mix and match e.g. jacket with 42 inch chest with 32 or 38 inch waist trousers rather than the 36 they would ordinarily come with?
Thanks

All Asian 7750 day/date wheels wobble in and out of accuracy. I suspect the Aquaracer is no different.
Does this wobbling stop when the datewheels are changed to ETA?

I think those are the post date wheel fix pics

Great review of a great watch
Day-date wheels don't look all that bad to me BTW...

I think it's safe to say that this is a worthwhile mod.
I know I'm glad my 3717 has had it done.
Can't argue that it transforms the 3717...but that's mostly an improvement in the font IMHO.
I was asking about the Cousteau where the font seems OK but the alignment is variable, and was wondering whether this mod would help the alignment. Anyone??
-
I have replaced them in the cousteau models I have worked on... Not sure if it's necessary, but seems to be a good upgrade.
RG
Is this likely to assist with day/date alignment issues in the Cousteau or is it just a question of improved font?
At the moment the only thing holding me back from buying (or "pulling the trigger" for anyone wondering what buying means ) the Cousteau is the alignment of the day/date which seems to vary from picture to picture...
If I knew that this was easily fixable I would go for it.

Great post - thanks for sharing.
Does anyone know if the same change can be made for the Cousteau or the new Aquatimer coming out soon? Or is the change not necessary for these models?

Does this have brushed or polished ceramic?
-
Is it true that the asking price for this is $750?
-
It is wood (or something wood like) behind glass. Just like the gen. No way it will wear off a'la green sticker..
PS: Comparing to mine, and since it doesn't have the same wood pattern, I think it IS wood.
Asian wood or Swiss wood?

calling archibald...
Who's Archibald?

Andrew has it in white here http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1688, Josh also has it in black here http://www.perfectclones88.com/fmca10001-c...aph-p-3067.html
Don't know how to link pictures otherwise I would.
Looks very good to me and since there are so many variants of FM originals nobody would guess it's a rep.
What do you all think of this one?
-
Thinking of buying an IWC Cousteau having had my head turned by all the beautiful photos posted by lucky owners.
One thing that is holding me back is the misaligned day/date which seems quite bad in some pictures but close to perfect in others. To me this is one thing which I could not live with as it just screams fake, much more that other little details that 99.9999% of people would never notice.
My questions to you owners are therefore:
1. How is the day/date alignment in yours?
2. Does the alignment get better or worse over time or remain unchanged? If I get one from a seller who QCs it in advance and says the day/date alignment is OK before dispatch is it likely to remain so indefinitely?
3. If it is a problem can anything be done about it?
Many thanks in advance.

who can help me to find a good dealer for a F. A. Jones ?
Thanks

1:1 does not imply that the rep is somehow an exact copy of the genuine.
obviously the movement (among other things) will be different.
1:1 generally means that a genuine was purchased to model the watch after and the case etc should be a pretty exact copy
a $350 watch will never be exactly like a $7000 watch, just good enough for most of us
Who's selling it for $350?

I wish I could--I was talking to a usually in-the-know guy, bitching about missing the first run, and he said, "You're lucky you missed the first release--they're doing an impproved version." Didn't now what the improvements are, though. Hopefully, the improvements will be on the day alignment, the "10" and "15", and the bezel alignment.
Thanks. Please let us know if you hear any more.

BTW--I hear credible rumors of an "improved" Couteau v2.0--can anyone elaborate?I have heard the same rumors.....
@ archibald and swemoose
Do reveal more about these "rumours" - I was about to give in to temptation and order one of these beauties but in light of your comments might just hold fire for the time being...

Alan - great pics, thanks for sharing.
May I ask what your wrist size is please, as the HBB certainly doesn't look too big on you but I'm kind of skinny wristed.
Thanks

interesting. for my dollars, i think i'd stick to the original version. the orange is just too extreme / in your face for me (i feel the same way about the orange PO)
deltatahoe
What he said. First version is just on the right side of the fine line dividing classy and tacky. This one oversteps IMO.

Wear the new BB well! Let's see some pics...

Still down (I think for about 10 hours now)
Nothing for me either.
TRC also down all day for me.
I need my fix

If someone could also PM me Josh's new website I'd appreciate it. Just about to pull the trigger on a BCE when it disappeared. Not sure whether to go with Josh, Andrew or Ruby for this one.

Fantastic review. This watch is definitely growing on me!
My wrist is about 6.5". Any idea if this will be OK? Panerai 44mm and Breitling Evo look fine on me as far as I am concerned, but this may be different and is hard to find in store to try out for size.
Thanks
