I do agree to with SSS. Since I saw the double AR on the SFSO and CD I think it's completely wrong just to have a single sided AR. And I could almost put my money that gen PAMs have DOUBLE AR. But.... I'm just an ignorant who has only help gens but never worn one, hence I couldn't tell for sure.

Mind me asking Maximilian, why is it that you swap cases for a better watch? I'm guessing about the shorter lugs on DSN's...

Welcome Tyler. I don't write much but I can tell you this: Best swiss 6497 with swan neck is the way to go. The swan neck is a device that lets a watchsmith micro adjust (and hold that position) the regulator wich determines if the balance wheel is too fast or too slow. In short words it's what determines if the watch is accurate in keeping time (if well adjusted). Beware not all swan necks offered are functional. To answer your next question, the 6497 offered in our reps has a 18000 bhp, while the gen 6497-2 has 21000 bhp. Either way, the swiss ETA 6497-1 is a work horse and you won't be dissapointed. And my last piece of advise: if your budget allows it, go for a 44mm from Davidsan. Best PAM you can get IMHO. Cheers!

I just have to say WOW! V you have made my day with this review! I've been debating on which straps goes with what watch and if the colour in the pictures is what I will have in my hand when the strap arrives...very difficult job! I guess is like we say in spanish: a prueba y error (hit and miss) basis. But since you are not only a great watch collector you ALSO know how to collect straps that sync with your collection. Definetly I look forward to any of your post in search of a great pic with and incredible watch and a new strap combination! Cheers to you lady!

Hello fellow members, I recently aquired from on of us a beautiful PAM 192 with Ti Case and I think it's a keeper. Although there are several moddings needed, I might need some help from the more veterans. The mods I'm planning are (in this order): 1. New Ti crown. (Help sourcing one and if it might fit on the Venus movement? 2. Perhaps a new CG. This one seems to have to much of a gap for the crown. Although I think this is an almost impossible part to obtain. 3. Correct caseback. Closed Ti preferebly if possible with correct markings. 4. Taller blue second hand lume spot. The one it comes with sits a little lower, contrary to the gen. 5. Elimination of the middle second markers. I think this job could be done with Vac. 6. Complete Lume job. 7. Oxidization of the case so it can resemble a lot more the Tantalium. I've read a pseudo tutorial on how to this in RWG. 8. Sapphire crystal with inside AR coating Any other possible mods you can suggest to make this an "Ultimate" (so to speak) PAM 192 Tantalium. Cheers and thanks for looking!

Please forgive my ignorance... but how exactly does law inforcement know which one is rep and which one is not? If you are wearing a Canal St. rep probably... But with the new better reps? Swiss based reps? Super reps? Enlight me! Cheers!

Somehow I wrote a reply but didn't show up... Anyways, great watch to both of you, although I rather have the rubber strap. By the way, is this "Ultimate" the same as Angus offer? One of my favorite PAMs, though, as everyone stated before, too bad for the bad things on the current rep. It would be amazing if someone convinced DSN to build a much better one, given he's the expert on Ti PAMs. Cheers!

Someone metioned that even if you go for the Asian, you can upgrade it with Swiss ETA later on. I guess it's a good thing.

I wonder too about waterproofness. If they keep doing super reps, why is it that they can't comply with the waterproof issues? I'd love to have all my reps (specially if the gens were design to be used inside the water) to be with them INSIDE the water. I'm not asking for scuba standards, but at least to have a great swim. Both are great. But for me the anthracite dial takes the lead. I have a thing with PAMs with the gray/anthracite dials (ala 106/170 or the GMT shown by u). But there seems like dealers don't like to carry them.... So if anyone comes across one, please let me know! Cheers!
