First thing that stands out is the print is engraved and not laser etched. Also the reference number is typical of many sub service case backs from RSC but was not used on reps.

How did you modify the ring? Did you just shave it down abit from the inside?
The whole construct should just press down around it real snug right?

I shaved it from the inside so it wouldn't crack a Clark's. It stays snug without being unmanageable to get on.
