  1. Just wanted to share my finished Hublot project as I am very happy with the final result:

HBB Black Magic V6: Bought from TT ( Andrew )

I got it serviced by a local WOSTEP Certified watch maker. She works from home so she agreed to do a full service.

Took a month for the full service but she did an amazing job!

I bought the Strap from Donerix, Black Nubuk with Red Stitching.

Overall I am very pleased with the result. Took some photos earlier today, please let me know what you think. :)

  2. Thanks MD

She is very personable and cute, i'm assuming in her late 20's but married and has kids though. lol

she got her cetification 7 years ago and my HUBLOT was her first rep job. I was surprised she took the job but was very happy at the same time.

I was initially going to pm you for the service but I stumbled upon her online and found out that she's local.

I haven't found anybody that does lume jobs in Canada though so you are the perfect guy. :)

I'm planning to get my oceanographic 4000 relumed soon so I will PM you.

Is the watchmaker a hottie??? I would give my left nut to find a hot women watchmaker i could settle down with and make beautiful watchmaker babies with lol

oh yea and the watch looks great.

  4. woah $325 for a piece of rubber? I can use that spare cash to buy another rep once i've gotten a proper watch smith around my area. i've been looking at AP bands and I think that only the orginal rubber looks good on the V3.5

So i guess youre still looking for a watch smith that would work on reps huh?, I would assume that there are many in Singapore because it  has a bigger city setting. Good luck with the search man.

  5. There is no XS strap, you have to get a gen strap, if I remember correctly they are about $325 or so.

All reps have issues, be it dust or some small imperfection. It's unfortunate that manufacturer's and dealer's QA is still quite in stone age. Unless you specifically ask dealers nicely to do extra QA for you they will not bother, and you really have to ask super nice, worked for me on my last purchase from Trusty.

I had the same experience with TrustyTime - Andrew is willing to help out as long as you ask nicely. :)

  6. Sorry to hear about losing your job man. You should move to Canada. :)

Props to SSTEEL for extending a helping hand, this is indeed the friendliest watch forum ever.

Good luck with the job hunting man!

  7. I found a Lorus watch at work a few months ago so I put up a notice to let the owner know it had been found but no one ever claimed it.

It was only last week I pulled it out my drawer and started wearing it.

It's nice to put a gen on every now and then :D

Enjoy it it, it's a nice looking watch.

hey ceejay, since youre taking horology and watch making classes, do you know the history behind the number four - on classic watch designs like this one?

its IIII  instead on IV in roman numerals.
