  1. Anyone heard from ND trading lately? They seem to have (practically) the same looking dials as ingod but priced higher. I haven't had a response back from them either? It's a shame really since both NDT and ingod have some good stuff.
  2. Well the web payment system ain't working on their website so have sent him an email....will see if he gets back to me.
  3. Ahh yes, guess I'll have to stick with the MBW dial and get the hour plots repainted. Thanks all.
  4. That's for the reach out guys. Personally, the m doesn't bother me. I prefer the dial to "look" gen but unfortunately I have no real life experience on what a real 1665 chocolate dial should look like. My stock factory MBW dial is ok, only the hour plots bother me. They are too shiny and should be more raised (3d effect). Only reason I am considering the ingod dial is that it costs less than what the established forum modders charge for 'reluming' my MBW dial. What's people's opinion on the ingod hour plots? Does the fake patina look acceptable? Or am I better spending the money on getting my existing MBW dial re-lumed?
  5. Hello, I am thinking of pulling the trigger on an ingod chocolate 1665 dial. I've not seen anyone use this dial on a rep build before and wanted peoples options prior to making a purchase. The equivalent ingod GW rail dial seems to be far more popular on the rep forums but it is currently out of stock. Here's the chocolate dial in question: Has anyone bought this dial? It looks good to me but I really ain't an expert in fake vintage patina and was hoping the more learned here would share their opinions as to whether it's worth buying?....does it look good? This is the (MBW) dial I am looking to replace: Thanks
  6. I would be concerned that the p.jelly would attract dust (micron thick layer) and effectively become a grinding paste?
  7. I'll take as many as he can manufacture!! There's a huuuuge market for high quality 93150's
  8. Parts are shipped from china. Assembled watches are shipped from USA. To EU he ships from USA via his mate in Scotland.
  9. Very nice indeed. I am looking to pop my vintage sub cherry soon. Just doing as much research as possible right now. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Sorry to hear this. I've been searching for a gen dial for months and have come across at least 2 dials where the minute/hour ticks (only) were "professionally refinished". So I'm sure it can be done.
  11. Been rocking Creed's Green Irish Tweed for years!
  12. I need to stop reading these forums..... The more I read, the more 'flaws' I learn about. Will end up hating all my watches and having to fork out ££££ for a gen.. Ha.
  13. My wrists arent particularly big but I've just measured the vertical distance between the top of my wrist to the bottom (i.e wrist thickness) and it's only 40mm (at narrowest point). So the DSSD would be approximately 50% thick as my wrist!!! Wouldn't look right IMO.
  14. Clasp looks amazing!! Usually the rep ones don't seem to have the same lustre as the gens but this one looks very good. Better then gen. Lol
  15. Hello. The submariner reps will have either a Chinese clone movement (not Japanese) or a Swiss movement. There's no reason why a Chinese clone movement wont last a very long time if you service it. The origins of Swiss movements in reps are unknown. The reps will be assembled in relatively poor quality control 'factories' so it is not un-common for movements (swiss and clone) to me marked with finger prints bits of food etc. Hence, there is no guarantee that a Swiss movement, in a rep, would be any better. There's a lot of info on the forums on the pro's and con's of clone vs Swiss movements. I would suggest you do a search and make up your own mind to suit your personal needs, budget etc. good luck with your purchase.
  16. I want one!! Showed it to the missus and she's like 'you can easily tell its a fake .... look at the retarded date font' lol!
  17. Thanks for sharing mate. Seems very informative site.
  18. I always wipe my leather dress shoes with a baby wipe after each use to remove dust, grease, pollutants etc. I only use coconut oil to nourish and shine. I apply the oil using an old cotton sock. Lol. This method has worked for me for years. I don't wear the same pair of shoes for more than 1-2 consecutive days max. I either use a shoe tree or simply stuff the shoes with socks during storage. This helps them maintain their shape and resists creasing. I can't believe that my first proper post on this (watch) forum is about shoes!! Lol
  19. Thanks SSTEEL. I had a BK sub-c initially....but couldn't live with the number of tells after a while.... so sold it and ordered a TC type 2. In the interim i purchased a mont blanc timewalker from sead. This is an amazing watch but I really miss not having a sub at the moment.
  20. Hello everyone. I am new to the forum. I have a few rep watches at the moment and a TC sub in the post. I've been doing a lot of reading and hope to learn a lot from everyone here. Thanks
