  1. Thanks 436NR. I bought it from eBay and the seller stated it was the 157A Pro 2 bracelet. I thought the same you as, in that this looks like a Pro 3 bracelet however I believe it's a narrower version. The bracelet starts at 22mm width at the lugs but then narrows down to 18mm at the clasp which is quite comfortable however it does look a tad anaemic when compared with the behemoth that is the case of the Sea Wolf! I'll keep a look out for a new Pro 3 bracelet as I'd love to have that rather than the Pro 2 and if I find one I'll be selling this one.
  2. Well, I ended up doing as you did and ordered a gen Pro 2 bracelet. However, I couldn't find the exact one on eBay (without paying an arm and a leg). The bracelet arrived this morning and once fitted to the watch, the result is quite nice. Oh, and the clasp is miles better as expected!
  3. Great to hear your watch arrived so quickly Unfortunately, despite the fact that the rep bracelet is actually quite nice the clasp is fairly shocking. The clasp on my SeaWolf was only marginally better than yours and try as I might I couldn't adjust the clasp to work as intended. I looked everywhere for a reasonably priced gen Avenger clasp to no avail so I ended up just ordering a gen Pro 2 bracelet from eBay. I still couldn't find the exact one that I wanted however it looks fairly good and the clasp is superb. It's a shame that a new gen clasp is such a difficult part to source. My recommendation would be that if Trusty sends a new clasp and it proves to be far better then great, otherwise you may need to do as I and others have done and just opt for a gen bracelet.
  4. Ah, sorry SSteel, I misread your question last night. I blame my bloodshot dreary eyes for that! Thanks for the link Offshore, that's a great website with excellent prices! Will be trying it out
  5. Amazing pictures irate03. From the lighting to the beat-up old boxes, I can almost smell the musty atmosphere and feel the epic history of those watches. Thanks for sharing and for taking some breathtaking pictures!
  6. Anytime for you Glad to of been of help
  7. Thanks SSTEEL, I think it's called a Pin Punch. Here's one on eBay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/251290251248?lpid=83&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=83
  8. Funnily enough, I had a similar thought when I saw the watch. I was wondering if perhaps you had been moonlighting as a Canadian watchmaker
  9. At 2:24 you can see Mark removing the hands from the dial
  10. I've been using hand removing levers like the ones found on this page; https://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/tools/hand-watch-clock-removing-and-fitting-watch-dial-tools Specifically the levers sixth down on the page, any that look like this; The spring actuated ones are also very good however I've never tried them but I have heard good things; Just make sure you use a dial protector or a plastic sheet to protect the dial from getting scratched. This video below shows how Mark removes the hands from a watch (at 2:24) Hope this helps mate.
  11. Sounds like the movement could perhaps be loose inside the case. If you gently shake the watch do you hear something shifting around? I doubt it could be due to the auto weight however hopefully some of the other guys with more knowledge will be able to help out though this is what comes to my mind.
  12. I like the simplicity of the design, very nice. $1,000CAD is actually fairly reasonable for a reworked ETA timepiece from a smaller watchmaker. The maple leaf is a nice touch as well. All he needs is some marketing to get Kessel or someone similar for the Maple Leafs to wear his watch in a post NHL game interview and that should be his sales sorted for the foreseeable future.
  13. Looks beautiful AJ! The Fiddy certainly is one of the icons of watch collecting. With some more frankening this will be a masterpiece!
  14. I'm loving that Black Bay The closest I have is the UPO
  15. Payment sent, hopefully this should mean I'm a fully fledged Diamond member (soon)
  16. A great video showing some of the intricate design, manufacture and finishing processes many of the of the parts go through inside a Glashutte timepiece. http://youtu.be/ntYwiyvlhh0 The level of detail and precision is both simultaneously impressive and mind-blowing. Enjoy
  17. Another cracking piece AJ! That beautifully guilloched dial along with the blued hands make this a fine piece to wear to any meeting
  18. Very nice! Looks like I need to get me a monogrammed Walnut humidor to store mine in.......but first I need to get some!
  19. I like the sound of that! Romeo y Julieta's No. 2 are my favourite
  20. Thanks for the pics Mike. Certainly looks like a great time! Maybe a few of us could take a flight over and we could have an international GTC
