  1. It's nice to finally see a gen blue again! I'd love them to rep this, as long as they get the colour right.
  2. I agree, nothing sreams fake like a gleaming BM or BM-T!
  3. Absolutely I'd recommend the Santos Chrono. As a fellow big watch lover, this is a must have if you want a dress watch. I bought mine from King 3-4 months ago. I'd recommend the swiss version, wish I had spent the extra money to get the datewheel flush.
  4. Asian IHS Arrived Aug 15, DOA. Currently waiting for a e-mail back from Angus. This was one of the first from the second batch. Sounded like it had damn ball bearings rattling around in it.
  5. The gen dial is from the 2004-2005 model. Notice the full 8. This is the dial you need if building a franken with a pro I. The 2006+switched to the "Bigwings" version with the cut 8 numeral.
  6. My Franken is black, but I think I'll get a Blue as well to round things out!
  7. Ha, from one canuck to another, we know how to enjoy our kool aids! I've e-mailed Angus to see what he has to say about this and my gmtIIc that sounds like it has ball bearings in it I'm really thinking my SA snuck out of that first trial run.
  8. Here's another comparison. I can't seem to capture the difference on camera, but it's significant. It has the same creamy colour as the SOSF. It's evident in direct light, and obvious in normal to low light. Anyone who has seen this colour in real life will be able to understand.
  9. Gen 2004 Dial, New SA, SOSF It's very obvious in lower light settings that the gen dial and the New SA are very different colours.
  10. This is why I am concerned, it is almost bang on to my SFSO pics to follow....
  11. Dave, Thanks for the reply, you're the SA master! I will try and post a pic in a few hours showing what I mean. Unless they changed the colours of the white dials, my rep is off.....
  12. Hi guys, I am a Super Avenger fanatic and was quite excited about this new release. The long story short is that I think I might have received an incorrect early run colour. The colour is extremely similar to my SOSF white (silvery champagn mixed with white). From the pics that have been posted by other members, it is hard to tell if the images have been adjusted to look "pure" white in colour. From my Franken SA, I have a gen white dial from 2004. It is pure white with silver subdials- very different than what I received from Angus. Comments?
  13. Makes me want to cry that they got the subdial colours wrong. Very dissapointing as they look like they are silver on Angus' site.
  14. It seems the bracelet tapers quite drastically, is this the case on your gen Dave?
  15. Thanks for all the great work thus far guys.
  16. Very beautiful, Dave. From some of the pics it appears that the Datewheels are not aligned correctly. Is this the case and is it something inherent in the sec@3 bentley's? or am I seeing things? I'm really on the fence with my buying decision on this one.
  17. Z, If you've been following the number of threads on the subject, these just shipped and should be arriving shortly.
  18. Looks fabulous with the correct date font!
  19. They have better hope they got the white right, or I would bet they will have lost a significant portion of sales.
  20. Magagne, I have to agree that the price on this particluar piece is artificially high.
