  1. Hi all,

Warning- noob alert, lol! Just bought one of these second hand, my first foray into this bluddi addictive world ;)..........

    A couple of questions guys..

How often does it need winding? I have only ever had battery powered watches before

The date won't change? I had to wind the hours forward to get the right date rather than the date clicking forward how I imagine it should do.

Just accept the second point or get it serviced and see if it's repairable?

    Many thanks all

    Kev

  2. Hi All,

I have recently purchased a Cartier rep for the wife. It's for a Christmas present and I would like to present it to her in a proper box.

I have scoured Ebay and they're charging for a decent box nearly what I paid for the watch!

I may have to like it and lump it, but just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere I could source a reasonably priced box?

    Cheers

  3. Thank you Gran Sir,

I appreciate your response. I suppose after only one month of forum searching I could only learn so much!

Here's to more nosing around and (hopefully) not so daft questions in the future.

    Regards

    Kev

  4. Hi all,

So, ok, I've been been trying my best to find the nicest PO or SM, although leaning towards the former if I'm honest. This will be my first rep, I have a couple of Tissot's as that's my budget limit for gen!

Precious Time, Trusty Time, Perfect Clones..... AAAARGHHHH!!!!!

I've been round and round in circles a million times, i've read more reviews than when we found a new school for our youngest son, WOW!

I will be honest as this is my first foray into expensive watches/reps will it make much difference?

Will going to any of the recommended dealers on this site yield me with any sort of disappointment to my untrained eye?

All help is really appreciated from an eager newbie

    Kev

  5. Ooh, interesting! Cheers for the heads up Schwulah. I have decided tha my first rep is to be an Omega, subtle, good looking but most of all giving the appearance that its real, I.e. that I can afford it!

Wouldn't be right for me to be wearing a diamond Rolex or Richard Mille!

Off to the Omega section now with more newbie questions :)
