  1. Maybe wishful thinking but I hope they fix more than just the pearl. That crown guard looked so weird to me
  2. Best watch storage I've ever seen! Awesome idea, now you have me thinking....
  3. Interestingly enough the ss v6 that I had happened to be the most accurate mechanical time keeper I've had to date. I never regulated it, it was just amazing out of the box. (I realize it has nothing to do with the watch and everything to do with luck and the movement but its a coincidence)
  4. shanghai watch company makes the highbeat 7750 and liaoning made the unreliable low beat. hope that helps some.
  5. My understanding of it is yes it can be done but I have no idea if it's a direct swap or requires work, sorry.
  6. Wow good job man. I'm impressed they made a whole new bridge for these watches.
  7. Awesome thanks for the replies guys. I might get one of seads new high beat movements as well for comparisons sake.
  8. I just ordered that same seagull from getat. Hopefully it treats me better than the original did.
  9. Hi guys, just thought Id share a quick story. So I've had my 5k for a few months now and have to say I love it, it rarely isnt on my wrist. She goes with all forms of attire aswell as all my moods anyways I've yet to have a reason to bad talk my prized 5k, and yes the movement was loud but actually very accurate so far.....untill last night. So I get home from a friends birthday dinner and take off my 5k for the evening. I'm about ready to go to bed but decide to go grab the watch off the counter and put it away. I notice that it was about a half hour behind and whats this......no tic tock. Well I must have forgotten to wind her. So I proceed to wind but no success, I decide to give her a smack....nothing. The hands move freely with the crown pulled, and she winds fine with the crown in. Hmmmmm...........I dash to the garage to grab the duct tape, wad a ball and twist the back off. Obviously at this point the balance wheel is at a stand still(slight bounce back and forth), so i decide to gently give her a nudge.....she moves freely! I pull the escapement and move the pallet back and forth and sure enough the gear train moves as it should, so I look at the balance wheel and what do I find......no impulse stone .......well thats the end of this movement So is the sea-gull 3600 still the weapon of choice or is it preferred to go eta? Also on a side note, there were NO movement hold down screws and tabs in my watch! LOL Those crazy Chinese.

  12. very nice, i'm excited for actual pics
  13. I'm torn, I love the case, and its almost worth considering because of that, but quite literally everything else is bad soooo disappointing.
  14. And how exactly would some one buy that buckle?......you know...like if they happened to think it was one of the greatest he's ever seen.....
  15. I'm 312! What are the odds hah!
  16. I hope this isnt a silly question, but could you buy a low beat swiss eta 6497-1 and a seagull high beat 6497-2 and swap the high beat components into the swiss stamped and finnished unit? That way youd get a genuine high beat swinese 6497-2
  17. Not rushing you, just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to the results
  18. from this view I'd say my least favorite from aesthetics would be 2 and 5. I think 1,3,and 4 are great at this angle, I'd say 1 has rounder corners but worse brushing, and 3 has much nicer brushing but sharper corners. In the end I'd say its down to preference but I'd take ether 1 or 3
  19. knock on wood but mine has been great! +1 sec a day, winds nice, and completely problem free.
  20. I've yet to own the deploy clasp and have no idea as to which is gen but as far as quality goes (from the one image/view we have lol) I would say #3 is my favorite.
