  1. Just a suggestion for you dealers. If it's within your control can we get a couple of superluminva reps ran at the factory? I bet the cost would be $2.00 extra and people will be willing to pay over $50.00 extra. I love the factory look of silk screened super luminova. Maybe we can do 1 trial run and see how it goes.

P.S. not counting Davidson, as he already does so

  2. I always see people stating "Just remember it's a cheap rep." I have a rep Planet Ocean and this thing is a tank! I feel as if I took a hammer to it, it would probably outlast my Genuine Rolex Submariner with equal punishment. Is there really a difference in quality from a genuine to a good replica? Yes there is a lack of quality control, but if it is done right I believe the reps have achieved equal quality.

  3. I have been looking over the dealer sites and only rarely is AR mentioned on the breitlings and it's hard to tell from pictures...

I am really liking the navitimer blue face, but if I am going to pay just short of $300 for a watch I would like it to be pretty accurate and AR is a big part of accuracy for me...

Anyone know if specific dealers have AR, or even better have purchased and can coment on the quality of the AR? Is it a common thing that they all have or rare?

I have asked a few dealers but haven't gotten responses and would appreciate input from others.

    Thanks!

I bought a Bentley GT advertised with a light AR coat. It does not appear to have any coat on it.

  4. I also just found out Finepics is still offering the service. Has anyone had any issues sending and receiving from him in the US? I would much rather have him do it then trying to get this done myself cause you know he will do a good job. Maybe we can all send to him at once and he may be able to provide a discount.

I was thinking if we remove the crystals customs shouldnt be an issue. Now is there someone with a crystal press that will be willing to remove our crystals have them sent all at once for AR then reapply them when received? I am actually thinking of buying a crystal press now!!!

  6. I contacted a few places and we may be able to do something. There are a few issues though, I never mentioned I needed replica watches AR coated. Basically everyone would have to have their crystals removed have them sent to 1 person, and that person sends them all at once to be coated. Wow confusion, lots of glass!!!!!!!! Another issue I foresee is in the actual coating, will it look the same? is it as durable? Are there different types of coating for watches as opposed to glasses?

  7. Do you guys know which dealer can find me a specific pair of sunglasses? I found a new pair I like but I think I already have enough pairs right now to justify spending $100+ on another. Plus I can use the extra money towards a new watch! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

How are replica sunglasses coming along? I remember I bought a pair on Canal many years ago that were utter crap! Are there High end replica sunglasses like our watches? Like the difference between canal rep watches and what our dealers offer here? I mean good quality believable with good lenses?

  8. Does the Bentley GT gen have an AR coating? I have read many conflicting views on this forum. Some believe it does some say it doesnt, others say it has a very light AR coating. Which is it, can someone give a definite answer? My rep was advertised as having a light AR coating, but I cant distinguish anything.

  9. I remember you as the guy whose first post was July, talking about how you bought a gen. Your first post on a replica site was how you bought a gen and how you thought buying reps was a bad idea. So excuse me if I question your intentions when you bemoan how good reps take away from the specialness of the gens. Maybe just a little buyer's remorse for you?

In any case, many of us -- not just you -- own gens and reps and can deal with the awesome dilemma. Let me let you in on a little secret -- if you are a emotionally balanced person who has more going on in life than stroking your Rolex purchased on credit and hissing "my precioussssssss" alone in the dark, you don't give a rat's ass that people own fakes. That's because it doesn't matter two shits what other people pretend. You own life, education, job, loved ones and bankroll are all real and if people who are merely pretending to be owners of a few thousand dollar watch can by that single act significantly encroach on your status and lifestyle, that's because you are one of those posers. In which case you shouldn't get too bent out of shape for being mistaken for one of them.

Besides, not to point out the painfully obvious but if some Chinese dudes can make a 99% perfect Rolex for $150, maybe the problem is not that those watches are making the Rolex seem less special, it's that Rolex needs to make their watches more special for the prices they charge.

A lot of people are very jumpy on these forums!!!!!! Well sir, dont you put words in my mouth "how you thought buying reps was a bad idea." I own genuines and I own reps, I bought my last rep 2 weeks ago. I will continue to buy reps until this scene collapses, and it will. All I am guilty of is starting a discussion in a "discussion forum." For the most part the thread has been going well until a couple of E-tough guys had to intervene. Now on to my original post... I am pretty sure that this will not last too much longer. Rolex and all other major luxury watch makers have a lot to be scared about and I do not believe they will sit idly and let the raping of their industry continue.

  10. No worries. More customers lends itself to better product. Reps have existed for quite awhile. It is only in recent years that the market for high end reps has bloomed. It is still tiny though relative to other luxury reps (handbags, etc.).

IMHO, the only downside is when idiots manage to kill Paypal accounts for better dealers.

That was kind of my point. THe High end replica market is new, and it has grown enormously in it's infancy. LOL, a chart! Everybody in the world doesn't have to own a rep to make an impact, even if it was every 1 in 100 it would still make a dent. People will be more willing to the wearing of high end replica's rather then a cheap novelty canal street replica's. Will a company such as Rolex continue to do business? Yes, people will always buy a gen, but we will soon approach a point that the market will be flooded with high quality reps. Will a prospective buyer be willing to shell out the cash for something that is not so exclusive anymore? This is kina like a good [censored] house or drug spot! When too many people find out it disappears!

  11. Maybe I'm deluding myself into thinking I'm still special, it wouldn't be the first time, but I still think the higher end of the market is rare air. The world has been awash with Canal Street replicas for 25-30 years and I still believe this constitutes the bulk of what is sold. I think it takes a certain special brand of mental illness to rationalize spending $300 on a replica watch and I'm a proud member of that elite class. :yeah:

Yes most people think it's absurd to spend that amount of money on a fake. Keep in mind the fakes they are thinking of are the cheapo Canal fakes. Now with these new fakes that are virtually identical to genuine, people will be less hesitant to purchase. A friend of mine that owns several gens always scoffed at owning fakes. When he saw my breitling GT he immediately requested I order him one. He is waiting on a gen and there is a wait for this particular model and color. I kinda feel immoral if I do this because he was a potential customer turned away, I was not.

  12. I feel the end is imminent. The High-end replica community has grown exponentially in the past few years. We have our hobbyists, and we have the others who are just looking for a cheap rolex. The rapid growth of this community is not necessarily a good thing. At this rate everyone will own a Rolex (Polex) eventually. I feel this takes away from the charm of the original article. Our beloved Rolex, Panerai and Breitlings will not be so special anymore. I honestly wish we could have a smaller more private community then this. What do others think? Any insight comments?
