  1. So i send my watch to Jack to get relumed and this is the email I got today a month later.

"I attempted to relume your dial and from the very first baton I applied the luminous material to it simply oozed off the index onto the dial. I tried 1-6 all with very poor results.

The best I can do at this point is buy you another dial which I will not attempt to relume. The hands have been relumed with no problem.

Do you have a preferred vendor I should use for the replacement dial? I'm really very unfamiliar with replica parts suppliers although there seems to be quite a few on RWI"

I had the H-Factory dial but the lime wash't the best...Where can I get another GEN like dial?? Or GEN dial to pay the difference, will everything match up if I get a GEN dial?? It wasn't a cheap watch there was a LOT done to it.. Thanks guys

  2. The only big issue with these is the dial and I sold mine because of it.  I read about the issue before purchasing but could never see what was being explained until I got the watch.  In sunlight scenarios, you can see where the dial slopes up to the markers.  An embossed look.  Not a bid deal for some but for me it was a deal breaker or cause to sell in my case :).  Just my 2 cents.

Can you replace it with the GEN dial?? Would everything match up?

  3. What's the cost of a GEN movement for the Superocean 44?? Any place to buy them? Would it match up if I bought a REP? I will just go wit the Asian and get it serviced..

I think why some of us want a higher end movement, is because it consequently makes us care more about the watch itself. It would make me appreciate it more if it was built better and cost more to be honest..
