  1. There is no basis for a §1341 violation that I can see.

    Bill

extorting monies for goods that have already been paid for. One could argue that he stole watches because he had no intent in sending the watches back because even when he claimed he was sick, he was still receiving watches and telling people return times all the while knowing he couldn't do the work. No offer to ship the watches back that he hasn't touched for months. He is using items that he gained through the mail to commit a crime.

I could be wrong but I was pretty sure that any involvement of the us mail and a crime (in the sense of sending or receiving items that are involved in the crime) was mail fraud, but I could be wrong on that.

  2. Its simple, the reason people pay so much for a pen is because of the name, and to show off that you have enough disposable income to buy it.

Its the same for a watch, why spend the crazy amount of money for a gen watch when a swatch or a casio will tell the time just as well, and some times even better (quartz vs manual).

I had the same conversation with a friend of mine who has about 20K in his 3 watchs, and his reply to me was "Simple, i'm 24 and I want to show off that I have money, thats why."

We are all about the image, what you wear is a reflection of where you place in society. This is why people want to have replicas, brcause they want to have the image of having money, so people will treat them that way.

And for the people that claim its not about the name, its about the watch, well if that was the case you could buy replica watchs that don't have the name brand on it for a lot less, so why did you buy the expensive replica?

  3. its good to hear that you got your money back

My personal feeling on the matter is, if the payment has cleared your account, the the other party has accepted the payment, then it is the other parties responsability.

I run my own business, if I recieved payment and something happens to it, I can't tell my customer "well sorry I don't have the money anymore so its your fault". If I said that to people I would be taken to court.

On the flip side, you are buying something that is illegal, that customs doesn't allow to be imported into the country, and you are unhappy that you lost your money in the deal (thankfully you got it back) you don't really have a lot to go back with.

I mean think of it this way, if you bought drugs off a dealer, and he stiffed you for the drugs would you go to the cops and ask for your money back?

  4. navitimer reps are not spot on in my opinion, the date will shows it.

I would wear a IWC, but my partner in the office has a gen IWC titanium, along with a gen rolex, and a gen bentley navitimer.

i'm going to just hold off and get the real deal, or find a generic version of the watch style I like. I've been looking at navitimer styled watches and I think i'm just going to go down that route.

  5. This is unfortunate. I advise you to only wear reps at home as they'll never be perfect, as one day the nearest to perfect will arrive and you'll be worried about an AD checking the serial.

I'm in sales, and self image is important to me. The last thing I want is a client to call me out on a fake watch. I want a nice watch, but I personally think its retarded to spend 5k on something that gets banged around in day to day use.

For example, the office that I work in, I know for a fact several of the guys wear fake breitlings, daily I want to call them out but I know it would be bad character. Its just irritates me to have someone twice my age trying to flaunt money when in reality I know they picked up the rep (and a bad one at that) for next to nothing. One of them even said to me "Hey check out my breitling" I dang near bit my tounge off keeping myself from going "thats a fake" and walking away.

I do know however, if I pick something up from a dealer on RWG.cc that I would be safe in knowing that my "rep" would blow their reps out of the water.
