  1. Ok, I have two canal street watches that are just collecting dust. So here is my thought. I going to put the canal street milgauss movement in the canal street blue sub and put it on a leather military cuff strap. The blue sub has a see through back, so ill swap that with the milgauss also. I may put the milgauss hands on the sub too. Any ideas out there?

  2. The whole reason I joined this site was not to get fooled. I believe it would be an insult to a lot of people if someone boasted about fooling someone for a profit. We all have our reasons for buying reps and none of us have a dog in the fight to argue against people who respect the real deals. If you know he would not respect a rep, get him a gen you can afford. Many folks on here will help you find something you can spend your money on that your dad will appreciate.

  3. My new milgauss finslly arrived and everyone who advised me was correct . I purchased it before joining this site, so it happened to be a dealer not on the list. It arrived with a date window bubble. Lol This milgausshas no date. So, i tried to remove it and cracked the glass. The clasp is the old style which was not the style in the pic. The band is sloppy too. Sooooo, awaiting toolsto show so I can make it the way I want. Any advice on tightening up the band around the base, ordering and measuring glass and finding the new style clasp be appreciated. :-)

  5. I'm brand new here and starting from scratch.  It seems like a few times a day, I run into a video of someone repairing something or a video like these that really help to put everything a step closer to understanding how all those gears work and what they do.  The posts on this forum are also awesome tools.  So, for the newer folks like myself who want to get all the proper tools and jump neck deep into repairing their pieces, I think these may help.

  6. I was in the service for a good number of years, and I was a military aviator.

My one and only watch then was a Seiko Kinetic. I do not remember looking at my watch once during all those flights.

Perhaps its hard when its always being covered by the flight gloves... :D :D

I still wear and buy the flight gloves off ebay. They put isotoners to shame!!!
