just got the chance to drive this 1981 beauty yesterday! And boy, what FUUUUUUN! A car like it ought to be....no gimmiks, no [censored], just 200hp and which you can listen to every second! 

Original color, nothing done since 1981, absolute original state! 

 

( and yes, i've never drove a Porsche before!)

Is there a benefit to having a 'programmable' winder vs one that just spins. What is the recommended revolution rate for the an ETA 2836 or similar?

I put all four of them in the shop for a service and three of them he couldn't fix easily; the 4th is still in there, but it's the 39mm version which my wife thinks is too big. I guess I could actually just ask my watch guy to fix one of the 1016s with a replacement movement, but I sort of like the fun of getting a new rep in the mail.

Was any more detail provided on why the 3 1016's couldn't be repaired?

Hi, just as they came, the TC has the lume applied as per gen but the Seadweller "superlumed" doesn´t stand back. Both glow all night

This is how it looks in the dark. On all of them You may well read the time all night, the weakest in the long run is the AP Diver but it´s still enough to read the time after 6 -7 hours.

The lume on all the reps I've purchased have been so weak. My timex indiglo works better. Yours is truly spectacular. I think I need to send all my watches to pb.

Glidelock is the best innovation for watch adjustment that's happened in my lifetime. I absolutely love that feature on my subs.
