  1. Great looking strap and that panda looks crisp!
  2. Boot/ trunk bonnet/ hood pavement/ sidewalk sweets/ candy spirits/ liquor Oh and the word 'f@nny' also means something waaay different over here in the land of fish'n'chips
  3. ^^^^ I agree Mike. Apples for apples and all that. Keeps things waaay simpler. I would highly recommend www.xe.com for up to date exchange rates. Dusk
  4. I too have taken ownership today of a nice box, albeit a lesser box to your own (£12.79). Unfortunately I'm at work but as soon as I get home she's getting filled to the brim. Oh yes, she will have it...
  5. Everything "seems" sooo cheap when living here in the UK. Today on xe.com $1 = £0.59p so it lulls you into a false sense of relaxation when hitting the buy button. I came here "looking for the best sub" as I'm sure more people than would willingly admit it did! I'm now lighter to the tune of circa £1,700.00 ($2,846.01) two months down the line and all of a sudden the $ doesn't seem such good value any more. I've even taken delivery of a faux Gator display box today.... Who am i kidding? God bless the dollar! Happy weekends all, Peace
  6. Very nice! And your watch collection isn't too shabby either! I'm moving house very soon so I'll shoot you a pm when I have decided what I want to do. I have a crappy £12 display box on the way no so I'll hold fire for a bit...
  7. I can see this point of view too, it's kind of a nice idea to just grab a watch as the mood takes you. In addition if the watches are on display visitors and guests can marvel at the sweeping second hands all floating round in unison, lol I can only find 4 watch winder displays did you get your 12 watch winder mate?
  8. Nice tight box, velvety snug interior. The stuff of dreams
  9. Yes very true mate. I've ordered an aligator skin display box, (not real gator obviously)
  10. New arrival. Cheap m2m Cartier Santos 100.
  11. Thanks guys. Saved $300 on winders so I can now buy another watch
  12. Thanks for this useful info. Funnily enough I read the oil thing in the website that I linked which is interesting as they sell watch winders. Hmmmmmmm I agree with what you say though, these things take 20 seconds to set anyway
  13. I just read that kinetic watches can seize up if allowed to die as the lubricants may harden and congeal. Do automatic watches benefit from being constantly ticking or does it not matter? I'm keeping all of my reps going at the moment and it's like spinning plates. I have a mixture of movements now. Been looking at watch winder displays... http://watch-winder.co.uk/four-quad-watch-winders.html Any advice here fellas? Dusk
  14. I think it's down to YOU mostly. If a middle aged bloke in a suit pulls up in a Bentley continental GT sporting a poor Rolex rep then you wouldn't question it. If on the other hand the Domino's pizza guy comes round in a clapped out Ford fiesta wearing a £7,000 Submariner you would call FAAAAAKE
  15. Looking good! Waiting on my qc from toro
  16. Haha I've just bought one too. I knew I shouldn't have had that wine. Anyway my qc is coming tomorrow. If ok my AP diver v6 and LMPO will be on the way :-) I which this hobby wasn't as much fun :-/
  17. I approved a toro AP diver v6 yesterday. So tempted to add one on. I spotted them after I posted here. I'm like a rep sellers wet dream haha
  18. Thanks buddy, I love this thing to bits. In fact i wore it out ahead of one of my submariners on Saturday and it was pulling a lot of glances It's a great thing and a 100% keeper. Little hero is a guy like bk or TC but for Pam's. I think he may have stopped now however. Best, dusk
  19. My All black NATO was waiting for me at work. I'm really digging the look and feel on the 16610LV.
