  1. I'm looking to send an older Breitling Rep to get AR done.   Does anyone still do this anymore?  I've been out of commission for a while, and I noticed cheiftang isn't doing it.  I e-mailed Vac, but curious if there are new people popping up doing this.

    Thnx

  2. I dropped my BCE the other day from about 3 feet. Fell off the dresser. Now the movement is totally ruined. I move the BCE from side to side and you can feel the movement inside just keeps spinning it doesnt catch on anything? Anyone familiar with how much is damaged (is it even worth repairing?)... Even a ballpark figure would help.

    Secondly,

Anyone know of New Jersey REP friendly watchsmiths!!?

  3. Ive had many breitlings but never worn it on leather. Just got a leather deployant croc from Ruby. I threw it on the evolution and I've noticed a few things. Someone let me know if this is normal.

The way it latches is MUCH MUCH less secure then my skyland, my bentley and my evolution (steel) bracelets. It doesnt come apart but I haven't worn the leather that much.

Secondly, The leather feels very stiff (and I know it needs to be broken in) but it feels abnormally uncomfortable.

Thirdly, Any tips for rep leather to maintain the lifetime.?

  4. Breitling is a million (perhaps Billion) dollar company producing luxary watches, that go through rigerous tests etc etc etc.

Do we lose any "comfort" or "fit" since we are buying reps? Are the watches weight distributed differently as opposed to the gen, in regards to comfort? I have 'tried on' gens, but I have no experienced 24-48hrs with them on my wrist.

Also on Breitlings test is there a "recommended" way of wearing the watch for ''optimal'' performance, comfort, fit etc.

Just curious as I see people wear there watches differently and I as I wear my Breitling Bentley everyday, it seems more and more I am curious of what the exact fit was.

    Thanks

    Corey

  5. I have a few friends who all own a couple breitlings. They don't notice very little things like that. I think the only person who could point that out is a person in this hobby or someone who buys in the second/after market. But agreed - Very awesome copy and I doubt you'd ever get called out on the screws on your bracelet.

Considering the complexity of this bracelet, the rep is very impressive but any gen breitling owner could tell based on the screws.
  6. Are you kidding? You already gave the answer to your own question. The font is different.

My initial question was that the font was a noticeable difference on these photographs which threw a curveball at me. Without obviously holding the watch I wanted to make sure it did have all the features of a v2, verses the v1. The datefont pictures is different than many of the ultimate's I have seen (for example, see recent post by the gentlemen who purchased the watch from Dylan). Also see the photos of the datefont in the BCE Guide.

Just confused me. :o .. But now that someone told me there are two different fontstyles for the same ultimate watch - that would lead me to conclude there is a v1, v2, v3 or v2.0 v2.1 .. Or maybe I am overanalyzing.

:) Thanks for the input tho.

  7. I'm considering to buy a Bentley GT (white) from Josh or Andrew. The 48mm 6.75 is a little too huge for my taste.

I don't want to play the "god dammit, where the heck do you got that huge Breitling from?!"-game with every person who I run into, all day long. :D

The GT is quite a watch, too. The more I look at it, the more I like it.

Here is the GT, by the way:

I got this GT from Josh. They have this version in the 42 or 44mm version. It's awesome. Not as 'blingy' as one may think and I wore it everyday for about a year and got little to no "OMG HUGE BREITLING COMMENTS" on it. You rarely will get complimented on it being a Breitling. It could be just my area but most people only know of "Rolex".

Anyway - Watch is great. It's big but not uncomfortable. I couldn't go smaller.

I am waiting for BCE now, and I gave that watch away! :)
