Have to admit. Your thread title made me think you were posting Pics of the Misses
Hey D. I was thinking about it too... She wasn't home in time to model for the pics.... Next time
@Redwatch: I'm down for whatever. Set it up!!

Haven't been around much lately but wanted to share some pictures on a lazy friday afternoon.
Perfectly balanced 42mm brothers. One I wear for the office and one for everything else

Enjoy!!

cc..
it looks great, the gold hands just pop from the PVD case & the textured dial looks really nice.
Is it a 45 or 47mm?
MM
It is 45mm

It's a beauty, S! You know... For the longest time, I've never really fully appreciated the Cali dial until recently. I've finally woken up to it's character and charm
Looks great!
The Cali dial is a classic. Still last through the ages. Sad to see it go but that the hobby. I've changed my rule of collecting to avoid amassing to many watches.... One in one out rule

Hey Fellas,
Before this gets posted in the sales forum, I wanted to share my build with you so that the pictures taken wouldn't be wasted.
Acquired this in January and finished it in Feb of this year. Originally built it for my Hawaii trip, I have decided to build another with a different approach.

Vintage Gold Superlumed Hands
Heritage Strap & Buckle 26x24 130x80
Dirk Strap 26x24 125x75

I regretted selling my Eddie Lee 3717 a couple years back so I decided to purchase another....
Just got this back from Vac. Sent this in late mid March for some modding and really didn't expect it back till late April. I mentioned that I was heading out of town soon and he express mailed this back to me. WOW..... There's some service right there....
Anyway here are some specs and pictures (please excuse the lint) -
Vac Lume
ETA DDW
Takashi Crystal
Genuine IWC 3789 Kevlar Strap

Wow...what a collection and a treat to see all those great pieces in your hand. Beautiful pics too.
What was your impresion of the VDB piece? It's a beauty.
I REALLY liked it but unfortunately anything over 45mm is too big on my wrist. So it went of to another member to enjoy
-
Without a doubt...one of the finest photo posts EVER.
What a beautiful testimony to fine wristwatches...and fine photos of them.
REALLY!!!!
Beautiful.
Thanks Jeffg. I just point and shoot. Still have a long ways to go
Pretty funny cc. I suspect your 15K number is on the low side
You've built some amazing pieces - it's the fun of the hobby for me.
Keeping them is always optional
Ha!! 15k is probably on the low side. I didnt want to think about it anymore lol.
Talking about amazing pieces, I'd love to see your collection
-
wow -- all fantastic pieces in there cc (and as you said, pretty much all highly modded).
so just to be clear, none of these (except the gen pam 24g) remain in your collection? how about a post with what remains?!
deltatahoe
Yup. None of the posted above are in my collection except the 24G (and another franken Pam 48 I re-built for the wife).
I'll take some pictures of what's left (reps), which isn't much. Just a few.
-
I was cleaning up my Photobucket and photos on my computer and it struck me..... HOLY SH*T!!?? I had purchased a mixture of over 50+ reps. Most of the watches I purchased were fully modded with top shelf/gen parts in one way or another. I started to tally the average amount spent overall and it came out to about 15K and that's not including what's in my current collection and gens!!!!! And please dont get me started on straps.........
Some are missed and some not so much. There are quite a few photos of watches on my computer that haven't been uploaded yet. Some that aren't uploaded - 9 watches from DSN, 3 ETA 2892/2893 Pams, 4 Franken Pams, 4-5 ETA/Valjoux movement swaps etc.
This is an expensive hobby......
Anyway.... Thought I'd share what I have in my photobucket

I say keep the 233K if you dont need the cash. We wont know what's truly favored until the L series comes out with the am/pm indicator. I remember when you received the 233 earlier this year....... I am still envious. Then again, the 312 will hold you over for a bit

Hey Guys,
On a recent trip to visit my sister in San Francisco recently, I never would have thought to have purchased another digital watch. We went to Haight and Ashbury shopping around and noticed something in a boutique display case. A limited Surfriders Foundation G-Shock!! Note that I have been donating to the Surfrider Foundation since my high school days and am a supporter to fight ocean pollution/preservation. My best mate's family owns a major wetsuit company in Southern California and are also huge supporters. Anyway, I didn't know that G-Shock and Surfrider Foundation released a collaboration watch highlight their 25 years of commitment to protecting our coastlines worldwide.
Here's some info:
G-Shock has joined forces with the Surfrider Foundation to celebrate 25 years of protecting the world

Congrats to Offshore on the new website!!

Perhaps we are talking about two different EL's.
He certainly isn't remembered for straps and spring bars, but rather for the best reps ever sold. (Back in the day)
His offers were the best watches ever available in the early 2000's.
His 3717 for instance ,VI, is without doubt, one of the best rep ever. He was instrumental in it's creation. and sale.
Without a doubt as important a sales rep as there ever was.
He is sorely missed.
Please excuse my sarcasm
I remember Eddie Lee, the Canadian dealer. In fact, I've even purchased a handful of watches from him before he retired, including his "EL" V1 3717 you mentioned. The point of my thread was that some may have mis-referenced their sales items as "Eddie Lee" stuff instead of v1,2,3 versions etc.
-
First off, it is good to be back. I miss the forums and RWG after a 5 month hiatus.
Anyway I noticed that every other item that were listed recently on the sales forum were referenced as "EL" or "Eddie Lee OLD SCHOOL" Pams, Watches, Parts etc. Are items purchased from Eddie Lee that much more significant? If I had known, I wouldn't have thrown away all my "EL" rep straps, springbars, buckles, stems and shipping boxes.....
I just don't want members misinformed or cheated on inflated priced items.
Just a thought.

I'm calling it's purely financial. I have a few genuine watches that I'll never wear again but never sell (if I needed the watch box space I'd give to family or friend as a gift) . If I buy a rep that I don't like I doubt I'd sell it, though I would offer for trade.
if I couldn't afford to pay bills or buy another watch until I sold it, then yeah..
Why would you go through the hassle of selling it if it wasn't for the money? You'd just give it to a friend if you didn't like it.
I consider myself a hobbyist more than anything. I love the pursuit of modding watches, searching for parts, and waiting. Some I keep and some I sell to move on to the next project although this only applies to reps I buy/own. My gens stay in the stable long term. My friends consider me a practical and logical person. If it is not being used, then might as well consider it wasted space? I'm not rich by any means, but it doesn't necessarily mean I couldn't afford to keep them. With that being said, I wonder if those who have to sell their reps to pay utility bills should even be in this game << FYI: That was not intended to offend anyone...I just considered it common sense?

In early 2000, I wore all Diesel. Then slowly integrated to mostly raw (Nudies, Japanese Denim etc). Now I wear cheaper denim (WESC, Levi, Hurley, All Saint) because cuts and styles change often, plus my wife is in the industry :)
