  1. Hey guys, I've got the opportunity to purchase a Cartier Roadster, the "Vegas Dial" edition. It comes with the box and "instructions", but not the warranty papers. I have very little experience with dealing with Cartier watches, and therefore I don't know much about their resale appeal etc. I normally like to be able to sell my gen watches at least to break even. Does anyone have any advice on this? It's listed for £1,900 but I think I can bring him down a bit. Here's what the watch looks like:
  2. Basically what happened was I asked how to cancel my monthly VIP (this forum). But, because I'd been away from the forum so long, I mixed up RWG and RWI This wasn't taken well by the mod on RWI haha
  3. Well it is only polite to do as one is told, after all
  4. I'm also banned on that forum for getting confused over something and asking a question. It led to me getting told to go and kill myself..... very charming bunch.
  5. It has a Myota 8205 I believe. It's my first Omega. It happens mostly between 3oclock and 6oclock. It just seems a bit 'odd' to look at. All my Rolex Reps have smooth as silk second hands.
  6. Hey guys, hope your'e all well, I recently got an Omega Seamaster Rep. I will be the first to admit that I rarely use my watches for actual timekeeping. However, when looking at my watch the other day, I noticed that the seconds hand will occasionally stop, or 'skip' a beat. It never loses time, and it will keep time well. However, the seconds hand is just a bit temperamental. Anyone experienced this? Or know of a fix?
  7. There's plenty on eBay in the UK for around £60-120 I picked up a vintage Burberry shirt for £8 and a 80's Epi Louis Vuitton Wallet for £18 this morning (The idiot had it set to end at 4AM!!)
  8. What was the quality like? Obvious replicas? Or would you need to be an expert to judge?
  9. I've looked up KB and seen Ken's website. Lack of pictures makes me hesitant to order though. At least with watches you get QC pics etc.
  10. What is Ken's website/contact details?
  11. Hey guys, hope all is well. I'm tempted to get one of the classic camel coloured Burberry jackets. However, I'm struggling to warrant the £1000+ price tag, considering the quality. Does anyone know a place which does a good replica? Or a place which does a similar style? Thanks!
  12. I'll do a new watch post with some piccies as soon as I get it!
  13. I've pulled the trigger on the James Bond edition of the Omega Aqua Terra. I loved the bullet accent on the back window.
  14. Definitely putting it on the consideration list. I'd get a blue leather strap for it though.
  15. In fact, I've had a change of heart. I want something 'classy' but not TOO dressy. So, more similar to my DayDate, as opposed to my Calatrava, which I would count as my two 'suit up' watches.
  16. Hi guys, hope you're having a good weekend. So, I'm looking to add to my collection. My current Collection: - Gold Submariner Black Face - Gold Daytona Black Face - Patek Calatrava - Patek Aquanaut - Milgauss - DayDate SS Green Face So. I don't want anything which would retail above £5,000. I don't want anything to flashy either, but I also don't want it to be a subtle dress watch. Already got the perfect dress watch with the Calatrava. Hit me with your recommendations guys. Preferably SS, as I don't want another gold.
  17. I'm currently looking at a Green Shark Skin leather strap to compliment the green tinge in the crystal. Saw a similar idea on Google Images, and really loved it. I'll see if I can find the image....
  18. Josh is a good guy, no need to panic.
  19. Hi guys, Hope your week is going well! My first ever Replica was a pretty cruddy Milgauss (with the whole green tinge crystal glass). I've never really been into modding my watches to any extent. However, I'm really considering putting a leather strap on the Milgauss just to change it up a little. I've looked online for straps (I believe the lugs are 20mm), and found some nice ones. However, I'd prefer to go down the leather strap W/Clasp route. So, I suppose my overall question would be. How difficult is it to remove the clasp from the steel bracelet, and put it onto a leather strap? Is it even possible without a totally custom strap? Look forward to your views. ALSO: Any strap recommendations or opinions are gladly accepted.
  20. I have no idea when it comes to opening a watch, so wouldn't know what to buy. Obviously all watches have different opening systems
  21. Recently picked up a gold Rolex Daytona Rep. However, after about a week, there's a notible clunking when you move the watch around, so I assume something has come loose at some stage. I tried rolling up a ball of tape and opening that way. I bought a sticky bouncy rubber ball off ebay which is apparently a great tool for opening the backs of watches. It won't even budge. I tried WD40, and dipping it in boiling water to try and warp the metal slightly. Nothing works. Any advice guys? Or should I give up and live with the noise?
  22. I was banned for the exact same reason, and when quizzing a MOD about it, was berated with some lovely tasteful language, and told to go die. It was a wonderful experience to say the least.
