Thanks for this great review emuozz! Now I want one even more... and even worse my OH wants one too... Well prof, consider the alternative..... when my OH asks how much did you pay for that watch or what do they cost, I usually answer err...about 100$, but free shipping. I said that about every rep she has seen .... kept me out of trouble so far. But now she wants some reps herself !!! Order me that beautiful blue faced watch (PPNJ) she says, and a pam111h and a saddle bag ....since they are so cheap. Now I am in trouble !

I know that Daytona is really a watch that makes peoples heads turn around...... I am sure it'll grow on me as soon as the price is right and the movement is fixed. Great review ! I like your strap reviews a lot..... it helps when it comes to picking one (or more) from the abundance of nice straps out there. Especially for people who have a hard time deciding... like me. I have spent hours & days on a certain site, when the 50% off sale was on and had about 10 different tabs open..... I was becoming short breathed and hotheaded, squinting my eyes, bringing out the loupe and trying to decide on which strap to pick. .... MP 3646 Noce or GeF Valdarno Valdarno Cammelo Scuro , Toscana Fiero in Vintage, mp4 submercitore, "Allora a Ora" in Anacardo or Senape.... there are just SO many options..... and I dont even have the watch yet ! By the time I was ready to order something..... the sale was over (and that sale went like 2 1/2 days). Its hard to judge these straps just by the one pic on the site.......so I find your write up and your comparison shots (with the clothing) very helpful and informative. I also like the previews to the next episode..... really would like to hear about that legend straps since opinions on strapculture seem to differ. Keep up the good work !!! PS: The straps I am looking for are for my just ordered ..... DSN fiddy ..... I hope it will be as "tomato picking good" as volkers.

Yes, I agree. And its not just the lack of response to the 2 divas (I mean rep celebrities of course ), even aspiring noobs with IMHO good picturetaking skills hardly get any response.... Like earlgrey-erfurt for example he posted a whole lot of nice pictures in the last couple of days, but response was very limited..... so he was wondering: He had 9 pictures. Well made pictures nice setup, panerai catalouges in the back, even funny the last pic with the dog. Still only 3 replies.... how much time and work and thought must he have put into this !?! His next thread had 8 pictures in with a new artistic setup, good title... Also only 3 replies. I think it deserves a little more. PW and BT probably know they are stars here in the repworld, (really NO offense, a lot of your posts are informative and inspiring) but a lot of new talent gets demotivated by not getting any or hardly any response I guess... Its not just the "usual suspects" who dont get the response they deserve. I will try to use the new rating system more often and replying to more posts which I enjoy even if I cant come up with some superwitty remark.

And for the quality of the pics : Thanks for the wallpapers on my laptop ! I just like the look of those straps (the beautiful pattern) and the AR on the crystal is AWESOME. Patek Philippe Nautilus vs. AP Royal Oak Jumbo...... how about this one? Best of both worlds? I have only seen gen PPNJ with "swiss" instead of "swiss made" on the rep beneath the "6" marker.Seems to be another flaw on black and blue dials, apart from the blue dials having the connected dots.Probably nobody will ever notice.... still thought it might be usefull to know the flaws.

I'd go DRSD. I like the red. White looks too much like standard 16610. Too boring to me.-- And it seems like a lot of people already have great white... DRSD is next on my to buy list.... No offense pug,.... your Great White looks awesome..... Its just a personal opinion.... And with your kind of photo skills you could even make timex look good. And make me want to buy it.

I already did. And being the good guy that he is, and is known for, he offered repair. but the day before I was going to send it back, I read the dealer has a serious legal problem. Dont know if its still the case, but in my eyes to risky for me, the watch and the dealer. The rep has to go see a professional I guess... But I cant take a rep to a watchmaker here. Is there a DIY on how to reanimate your watch?

Thanks guys! I already bought a watchcase,..... for 6 watches to limit the madness, but.... who am I trying to fool? It wont suffice. VIP membership is top of my list. PP is bonedry after all the purchases I will water it as soon as it rains again.

Got me a watch from a dealer here on the board. Have it for 2 weeks now, when I noticed it rarely showed the right time. Everyday it was off by at least 3-4 hours. Its a Swiss ETA 2836-2. I also noticed it stopped quite often on my wrist, but would run very precise while in the box. After looking closer to when it would stop I noticed the movement stopping whenever the crown is pointing to the floor. Anyone heard of this kind of problem before? How can it be solved?

Hi everybody, Decided its time to break the silence.... found this forum a few month ago and caught the rep virus instantly.... After reading a lot and buying my first 3 reps within a month...... I cant see and end to collecting and enthusiasm/addiction for reps .... I gotta gettem ! I can only say I love it.... I hope to meet other repnuts for discussions, information and....well just plain fun. Well thats all I have to say right now..... I'll see ya around.
