  1. Haven't worn this in a few weeks. Freddie's Rollie is so cool!
  2. I have a WM9 Sub w/Superluminova, a V3 Deep Sea, and an LV Sub. My "real world" test is, can I read the time at 4-5:00? I can't see the time on the Bose clock radio w/o putting my glasses on. If I hold the WM9 under a 60 W light bulb for 15-20 sec. I can easily read the time at 5:00 a.m. If I charge the DS the same amount of time it's quite dim by 5:00, but still visible. The LV Sub needs a 5 minute charge. My 111 from T4D would charge nicely in a minute or two but the hands were far dimmer than the hour markers so I sent it off for luming.
  3. So you got the super lume upgrade? How bright is it? Does it last all night?
  4. You're ready for Halloween. Solid looking, though. I've got to get another rubber strap watch.
  5. Worn the Milgauss for the 1st time in months: The polished steel attracts smudges like rednecks flock to Larry the Cable Guy. I'm constantly wiping off the smudges.
  6. Breitling rep straps are some of the best. I recommend the rep calf strap. Josh might swap it out for you.
  7. I had a Graham and absolutely loved it--for a while. It's a magnificent timepiece, extremely well made. But to avoid the crown guard poking my forearm I had to wear the watch at the distal end of my wrist, tight. It was uncomfortable and still poked my forearm. I sold it.
  8. My watch has been identified as a "refurbished" model, not the new 08 Series Z V2 George promised to send. ID was made by the lack of etched crown, apparently only found on "refurbished" models or upgraded watches w/Clark crystals, and funky CGs. I don't consider the lack of etched crown a fault and the funky CG can only be seen through a loop or macro lens, so I'm happy. It's the watch I paid for, so I'm not sore about that. I just don't like being lied to.
  9. Wore it yesterday and didn't want to set the time on a different watch today...
  10. I couldn't think of a better way to stoke the fire of a even a mild case of gastric reflux...
  11. I bought 2 watches from Tony at asian7750.com. The first was an LV Sub. It arrived with the GMT bracelets with polished midlinks. I had an extra Noob bracelet so it looks right now. It's very "wokky" but runs like a champ. The second was a DateJust that was supposed to be the same as one on Josh's site. It wasn't. The date fonts were bad--looked like 21J fonts. The movement was an ETA, as gen. as they come these days. I'm date font fussy so I sold the watch. I won't buy any more watches from them. If your watch is a V3 it should lume quite nicely.
  12. My DSSD ETA clone is silent. Sounds like something is loose in yours.
  13. We gotta' tighten up the boarders. Can't let just any Canuk in...
  14. Max, I very gently and slowly straightened the diver's wetsuit extension link. (This is for the Sea Dweller) I had to experiment to find the right angle. This will make a tighter fit and it won't pop out.
  15. I recommend Josh. http://www.jpc8118.com/lv10018-tambour-chr...800-p-2443.html
  16. Exact same lube. I've done 3 bracelets now.
  17. The wife rarely urks me and the CG never. It can't be seen with the naked eye. I did wear it to my youngest's Eagle Scout project last Sat and got a light scratch on the bezel. But even it's hard to see.
  18. I've owned "bling" Rolexes before and the CZ's never fell out. I had one with CZ's all around the bracelet but I wore it only twice. Too gawdy for me.

  20. I've fiddled with the timing on the Sub, tiring of it running 15-20 slow/day. After a few snags, I'm happy to report it's lost only one second in the past three days.
  21. Hmmm.... Paul Newman Daytona? Almost no one will know what those watches should look like so you're safe when among the masses. However, should you happen to run into someone who DOES know what a Paul Newman Daytona should look like, you'll be had.
