  1. What you're ^^ looking for doesn't exist.

All the mechanical reps have the wrong sub dial spacing. They're spaced like the reduced version but is the standard size.

Closest one you're gonna find is the one with a ST19 manual wind movement with the wrong spacing.

Only way to get the tight sub dial spacing is to buy a gen

What if you bought a gen dial? Or would it be better to buy an older gen watch and swap out the movement for a newer modified one e.g. auto or seagull

  2. The members build the best ones. Look in the members sales area. Mymanmatt has built me a few and Stone P has had some for sale lately.

Thanks for helping. I'm trying to learn and do not want to ask a ? that would waste someones time. But the more I learn/read I can become overloaded and then need help with the simplest of questions...lol

  3. It's very late to be looking for a gift, especially on here. I think I am going to get a card and flowers and maybe follow it up later with a watch on Father's Day....she has taken both the Mother and Father places for me.

My mother has never had a watch in her life. She and I just lost my grandmother who stayed with us for 4 years and we helped provide hospice-like help the last 1. She has pawned her wedding ring and all her jewelry to help her family n the past. When my dad dies at 12 she got herself a new wedding ring with some of his money that came in, its been over a decade and she pawned/sold it to help pay for bills.

Anyways things are somewhat better (financially) now and I would like to get her a high end rep. She would be one to understand and like the value in a rep. BUT most important I know she can't pawn it.

FYI she likes David Yurman jewelry but never could afford it, so wears things that are similar.

1.What are the best reps for Women....something not likely to be seen as a rep

2.Who does the best work/trusted dealer

    3. any input from the knowledgable/ ladies

She is understated and classy. I do not mind if the watch is higher end rep. I just don't want her friends to be able to notice.

    Thanks a million times over

  4. Google "TC Submariner" and you'll find his site. Word of advice, he doesn't sell to newbies so get some feedback and meaningful post because he will ask for references before selling to a new customer.

Thanks so much for that info. It will be a bit before I can afford to get the watches I want though because of $. In the meantime I will learn as much as possible. But maybe I will have to do a deal or 2 just to get some references.

  5. I was thinking also about the TC LV sub type 2. That way I can put a genuine insert on it. Any thoughts on TC? As a person new to the forum and never having bought a watch before like this, it looks like TC is MIA or something.

You have been extremely helpful. I checked to see if there is something I can click to give you good feedback or something but it looks like theres only your reviews and post count.

  6. I want a rolex sub with black dial. I've looked at the new 2015v5 from BK. BK's looks very good. I guess being somewhat of a noob I am thinking too much. Also how are the bracelets on the rep subs? Do people buy BK's v5 rep and maybe put a better aftermarket bracelet on it?

I'd like to learn and have the tools to try and mod my watch also. Any ideas on here.

BTW I like your watch in your pic. It reminds me of the Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military....but a rolex which is super nice.
