  1. Good mooring every one

I am no expert, but I found these 6538 and the dealer is asking only 8500$  for it

The movement looks fine to me8.jpg

The dial is completely missed up

The case I believe badly finished

The bezel and the bezel insert are medium quality

Any more thoughts and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

    Regards

  2. Unlike the watches or the sun-glasses replicas, almost all of the pens and lighters replicas are poor quality, don't last for long and can be spotted easily.... especially the S.T dupont lighter,, the original sound can't be replicated

The second  hand are cheap, reliable and classy... That's how I feel about it

You can bay an average condition S.T dupont for 100-150$ from a trusted second hand dealer.. and with a 50$ you can have a full service and it well always tell a story

Or even you can bay a brand new Mini jet for 100-110$

I own a vintage Ligne 2 for 4 years and a Mini jet and both are more that excellent

  3.

    Classic or practicality?

    Hay every one,,,

I know these is a question without a true answer, because every body have his own preference

But I have these headache for a week now, and I know for a fact that I well benefit from your discussion

I bought the 116610 LN for my 31 Birthday, and the 5513 for my 32, and already have a priceless 16030 (purchased the day I was born) and a classic speedmaster man on the moon (manual) and in the next week is my 33..

I don't have any problem with my ceramic Sub, actually I love it and I wear it almost every day, It's beautiful, practical, and a good value for my money,,, but there is too many around!!

For that I was planing to have my first Frankenstein Rolex, A supper classic 6538 for my 33 birthday, that's why I came here in the first place, but I postponed these project for many reasons...

Now, a friend of mine offer my his 16610, good condition with papers and box + a classic JL Reverso 250886 in medium condition and well need a new strap, also with box and paper (Both he recently inherited from his late father) for my 116610 LN and maybe I can squeeze him for another 1000 - 1500$

OR I can just turn down the Reverso and get enough money to bay the watchCo SM 300

I did my research and math, the price of both pieces = my watch

And I did my home work as well, and I know all the physical differences between the the 116610 LN and the 16610, glass, crown guard, the movement and of course the bezel

As a conclusion (and correct my if I'm wrong), the 16610 is more classic, for sure it's gona hold it's value but it well kill my with the service or when I want to sell it..

On the other hand the 116610 LN is more practical, easy to be sold or trade but any 22 years new graduate can own one...

And both the Reverso OR the SM 300 is a huge bonus to my collection although it's in not a great value for my money as the Submariner

I'm getting older and maybe I feel older,, that's why I bought the 5513 last year and may be I well add the SM 300 and the 16610 these year

    What do think about that?

  4. Easy guys

He just want a watch that look like an expensive one and don't want to be cheated, that's it, not every body have the passion or the love for his time pieces, but what I don't understand not doing your basic research and spend few MINUTE instead of dumping such a silly question....

As rule of thumb, if you signed up in any forum that's mean that you want to learn or discuss some thing, but do your home works first instead of  imparising your self like that bro

Most of the members here are true experts, and for most of them what doe's matter is the journey it self, if you are interested you well learn a lot here,,

For the last six years I have been reading, watching many you-tube reviews, checking the used watches markets, online auction sites,  and I'm a proud owner of few gen Rolexs and Omegas,, but I discovered that I don't know many basics!!

Truly speaking, I learned many things in the past few day's,,, and from my own experience, most of the old members are friendly and helpful if you ask in the nice way...
