  1. I don't know but I emailed him the other day and haven't heard back, which is not like him. My guess is that he is away. Just hold tight, he'll around I am sure.
  2. OK, so please tell me more. What is that?
  3. Hi all-- I've been away for a while, but I am glad to be back. I have started poking around a bit, looking to add a bit to my collection. But, in the meantime, I have run into an issue. I have a 2893 transplant in my PAM 63, and the crown seems to have broken-- won't wind or change the time, and wobbles-- I am sure I need a new one. Anyone know a good source for this? I have searched but can't find just the right post... Thanks in advance for your help. J
  4. OK, so I am sure this is in some thread somewhere. But... what mods would anyone who has seen one of these still do?
  5. Wow... I never thought you could actually do this and have it look right. Nice job, I say. Maybe I will try it.
  6. I think so, yes. It's basically a scam to do that, and it is against the law as far as I know.
  7. Wow... you are brave.... and in the arctic with mittens! Thanks for taking the stab publiclly.... lot of fun to see and looks really good so far..
  8. Wow...Can't believe I read the whole thing! Great spirit, as always, Lani. Keep it comin'
  9. Yep. Get a shot of the mvmnt, but it looks gen from the shots.
  10. You kill me, Freddy. Absolutely beautiful, as usual. One of these days, I'll get around to a similar GMT project I have in mind... Until then.... children to feed, business to run, house to build...ah well.
  11. Thanks for the great report, Rob. And welcome back! As usual, you were missed.
  12. Honestly... I have a gen bracelet for my SD, and I haven't even put it on other than just to try it. I dont think it's enough better than the rep (after oil and aging) to warrant all the additional cost (it can be costly). Actually thinking of selling mine. Crown, tube, vintage lume or other dial agin, and crystal make all the difference. Then, scratch it, polish, repeat and you are good.
