Thanks! This forum has definitely driven home "the more I learn, the less I feel like I know" sentiment for me. I'm starting to get the impression that this hobby best serves those with the skills and means to take these watches apart and service them themselves. It's turning into quite the proverbial snowball, and I haven't even spent any money yet.

Yep, been through them. And some others. They all sort of... mesh. Which is confusing, until you see it's actually an "it's a small world" phenomenon. It's all good. Found this place awhile ago. Nosed through ten pages, was given the ultimatum and went elsewhere. Apparently it reset, so I nosed through ten more today. Sure, why not? So I joined, and read some more. Just figured I'd stop a minute to say hi, and don't mind me, I'll be in the corner. Reading.
