  4. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, That's what they made Florida for. Surf, white sand, bourbon on the rocks, and a surf rod. Ahhhh, winter weekend respites. The geese have been doing it for years. Why drive that thing when you could be
  5. PayPal - owned by eBay - has yet to return our call seeking comment. Huh! The media must think themselves more privileged than the rest of us. EBay return a phone call? It would take more than a bombing.
  6. Cosmetics gets expensive, have you priced tupperware lately. I accidentally shot the wife's tupperware (don't ask) and said nonchalantly; no problem just replace the pieces with new sh!t and give me the bill,,,,,,,,,, very expensive lesson. I quess it's because you can call tupperware the gen of plasticware.
  7. Allot of people don't like Paypal once they've had money removed from their account. Most people never really read the paypal agreement they agree to. See; http://paypalsucks.com/ I would send a check. It always leaves you the option to cancel it. With that many feedbacks I don't really think they're fly by nights.
  8. I think the solution to pitbull dilemma should be focused on ownership. I own both a Sheppard and a Pitbull; the Pitbull has never bit anyone. The Sheppard has – but I was being attacked and robbed at the time so it was OK. The key question is responsible ownership. I believe the answer lies with registration and insurance requirements. It’s one thing being told you can’t own a certain type of dog, and an entirely different thing not being able to afford one. Proper and responsible pet ownership is expensive any way you view it. My Pitbull has her own credit card to pay for her vet bills. Granted it would be another expense but such would be the case of owning a high-risk dog. Gun vrs Dog for home protection. After experiencing the situation first hand and being the owner of multiple types of firearms, it was noted that before I could react by arming myself the dog had the situation well in mouth. Had I been armed, I feel the perps attention would have still been focused on the Sheppard.
  9. With time it lost support and started drooping. After it became unsightly people just ignored it even though it was still there - just not talked about.
  10. When you have good health you got it all, - the rest is up to you.
  11. Two, maybe three depending on the purpose of travel. Also depends what your wearing and how long the trip.
  12. Gold readly plates over gold, silver, and nickel. The whole trick is matching the Karat content, as well as the alloy cutting the gold; each will change it's color. If you will always use the same solution you shouldn't have any problem. Don't expect a long term fix as most pen plates leave a very thin micro plate designed just for touch ups, the long term fix is plating baths which don't require very much equipment but are a mess. Using any method of plating though, the single most important element of plating is the cleanlines of the piece you intend to plate. Body oils can really mess a plate up. Make sure the piece is clean.
  13. Locks only keep honest people honest, or provides an inconvenience to make thieves look for an easier target. If they really want what you have only deadly force will stop them. Be happy that your son wasn't on the bike at the time. In this f##ked up world of ours they'll kill you for a pair of sneakers.
  14. Go to www.palm.com. It lists what the Treo can do and lists additional programs to purchase for different options. I can do on line banking with mine or just chill with a little MP3. The wife even has a photo album to ambush people with. We've been very happy with ours
  15. Give the Insurance Company back their money when the thief returns the watch.
  16. Treo from Palm if you can use them in the UK. I can use mine as a creditcard machine, camera, organizer, phone, email, and internet. My wife also uses hers as a medical PDA.
  17. The Agony and the Ecstasy Meet Me In St. Louis Sabrina - Audry Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart To Have and Have Not - Bacall is sooooooo hot. The Canterville Ghost (1944) Night of the Grizzly
  18. Wow, a whole store of Buy-it-now fakes on eBay.
  19. The price of precious metals has skyrocketed, the whole jewelry trade is feeling it. Sterling has already doubled from last year. Platinum - ouch!
  20. I've been in jewelry since 1992 and can tell you - stay out of the malls. Most here in the midwest are controlled by Sterling. Imagine the same company owning five different chain stores and having a price war? Guess who's the casualty. Also sounds like your getting tripple keyed, that's where you take the price of the material x 3 to get the final cost. It's an industry standard though most do 2.5 x material. The funny part is the bench jeweler who's putting it together certainly isn't making more. Most industry bench jewelers average between $7 to $20 an hour - who's getting the profit? Get a nice independant and you'll get a better piece and price. Ask to see thier other pieces or their portfollio. I get most of my gems from a trusted broker in New York and for alot less than you think. All a haggle and a handshake. Also be sure to get your gem GIA certified - it really helps should you ever need to identify it or file an insurance claim. As to the four C's, well thats a prelude to a jewelers arguement. Get what you can afford and what looks good on her finger. Never, never, never, finance through the jewelry store - it's a rip off. If you have to finance to buy it, you're already starting your off marraige wrong; in debt. If the salesman leans over the counter and says "isn't she worth it?" Blow up, get loud, demand to see the manager, it'll probably get you a 1/3 off. I'm tellin ya, most are worse than used can salesman.
