  1. I had to read it twice...made me laugh though. -B
  2. VC Overseas - perfect suit watch, thin, understated and great looking... -B
  3. I've got the white - it's beautiful. Makes a very classy watch, yet one that can be worn casually. The VCO looks good in either setting. -B
  4. FWIW - it is a beautiful watch. I have an old version, bad date window, incorrect clasp - and love it. I will be stepping up to a newer version soon. Just trying to figure out if the new Silix version is the one to get, or if I should get one elsewhere - curious about "best watch". The AR can be fixed ;-) -B
  5. I hate to just jump on the bandwagon - but a fantastic review. I find it interesting how this watch and the VC Overseas seem to be poised at the exact same buyer. I have a VC on my wrist right now as a matter of fact... Thanks again! -B
  6. Thanks for the shots - I am sure my 3717 is a keeper and I like what you did. I think the first step will be The Zigmeister to get it in perfect running shape. Maybe I'll send with the new date wheels and have him swap them at that point. All these things to look forward to... Thanks again for the picts! -B
  7. Miss V - typically agree with you but have to differ on this one. I have always liked the Graham and have looked forward to the coming rep. It has been on my list since I learned of its pending arrival months ago. Something about them, classic, mechanical - I don't know. Just like them. On the other hand, I have officially given up on Paneri. With all of the love, I kept looking at them. I would look at every one that came across the Member Trades. And finally, I said no... I just don't get them. Maybe that is why we don't all drive Volkswagons (the are the people car ya know). Peace, -B
  8. Thanks for the input folks - going on business and will be sitting around big tables with lots of folks - I guess I'll take a gen for those meetings. I was interested in taking a rep due to the GMT functionality, but I may think twice. Most of my reps are pretty good - would be difficult to get called on, better safe than sorry though... Thanks, -B
  9. I am going to be going to the Middle East on business in a bit and wondered what the disposition was toward reps. Obviously there is a culture difference and I wanted to make sure that I would not be committing a serious social faux pas. Any thoughts/experiences? -B
  10. As someone that has purchased a 3717 from the latter batches, I concur. My watch came with too short of a stem. You couldn't screw down the crown without changing the date. What a pain - my collector took it back and had it repaired - now she works like a charm. Day/Date alignment is actually pretty good. May be getting this one serviced to increase the life expectancy... -B
  11. I really like - am thinking that blue would look good. Or, something completely different, either red to jump or a gun metal to keep the understated... -B
  12. I did enjoy that - being an Adventurer owner, I don't have the leaks, but have that unique sound (you know, all the gears and bearing just rolling in there?). I love my Triumph - I get more looks than your standard HDs. -B
  13. I travel a lot - no one has ever looked twice, other than to say, "nice watch". -B
  14. Do a quick search at TZ, I did a quick compare of my MM GMT (purchased from TWP of course) to the original and the rep is amazingly close. It is truly a beautiful watch and deserving of a bump in the rotation. -B TWP - drop me a line one of these days...
  15. Keep us in the loop - for the right price, this would be a great everyday watch and you could count me ;-) -B
  16. Now that is FUNNY! Maybe it is because I am a father of 3... Must think about this... -B
  17. I love the Malte Series VC - That Chrono is beautiful! I love the Lemania movement as well. I did a little checking and Andrew has a vintage VC chrono with the Lemanaia as well - very nice. -B
  18. I was going to say the 3717 as well. But you should also think about the Chopard GMT MM. One of my favorites. -B
