  1. Jos also has a 212 with AR coated sapphire crystal. All the others are mineral glass. Mine is on order... Here is the version with the Asian 7750 Highbeat movement. http://perfect-clones.com/pn21201-1950-fly...800-p-1989.html You can have a Swiss 7750, instead, if your pockets are a little deeper than mine.
  2. Some of you - ad nauseum. A very small proportion of the membership, thinking that if they make enough noise, will be able to spoil the fun for the majority. Perhaps I am immature... but I enjoy the humerous, creative and erotic avatars. The ones that offend me - and, yes, there are some - I ignore.
  3. Have a look on ebay. There are usually loads of crappy Pam straps on offer - complete with nice buckles :-) Bid with care, junk the strap, keep the buckle.
  4. @JJF - did you talk to DavidSen? He offers many different Panerai spares and components, as well as complete watches. Here's a link: http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/watchmmx/ The password is: mmx
  5. Fair comment, Pugwash. The fact remains that RWG1 continues to attract new members. Should I leave them to the tender mercies of Replicahause?
  6. Uncalled for, Neil. Yes, I visit RWG1.. You wouldn't want to deny me the opportunity to cross swords with Dems, now, would you? He is my Cousteau... Say what you will about Blade... but he had some skill at keeping a forum at the head of the search engines. So RWG1 continues to attract a great many newcomers. It is my pleasure to point them in the right direction, when I can. There are still a few of the old guard hanging around, doing the same. Those of you who have abandoned RWG1 have denied tomorrows newcomers from benefiting from your experience. I visit - and post - on all the boards. Without fear, favour or misguided ideas that a message board can be a "home". That is a very curious notion, in my opinion. Neil - you have been hanging around the boards about as long as I have, maybe longer. Remember Andre's board... pre-RWCC - the one that started it all? Started it for me anyway. Boards rise and fall, dealers come and go (present company excepted, of course )... but you and I will go on forever, despite trolls, scammers and moderators that run off with the funds. And no, I'm not referring to Blade... he was not the first to blot his copybook. Admin is a gem, of course. Goes without saying. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for keeping it all together. Without him, the rep forum world would be a much smaller place. RWG1 may be a shadow of its former self right now. Tomorrow? Who knows.
  7. www.banda.com will make a strap to your exact measurements, in the leather of your choice. Both straps in this pic were made by Banda, to my specifications - and at very reasonable cost.
  8. Rude? Childish? I didn't pick up on either - can you explain more fully, please? Without the abuse, for preference. Reasoned arguments work for me. Abuse diminishes the responsible correspondent.
  9. At the risk of being contentious - and I do appreciate that when you hit the "new post" button, you get a different result than I do - have you noticed how few threads are discussing watches tonight? Ferrets, however... well, that is a different story.
  10. No, not all of you. Just one. With, I believe, some justification. However, if you had accused me of arrogance back then, I would have been forced to agree with you. But "clod"? Ok - I'm from Buckinghamshire - I can live with that.
  11. Ah. Abuse. From you, of all people. I am disappointed.
  12. First laugh I've had all thread. But I have SO little sympathy with mentalities that want to start a Jihad at the first glimpse of female flesh. The avatars here, and on the other forums display a great degree of creativity, humour and, yes some erotica. (There is a difference between pornography and erotica... you with the dictionary... look it up). I have found some ... a very small minority... offensive, in some degree. I may have felt some sorrow for the author... but would not wish the avatar removed. What right do I have to impose my will on another? None at all. Quite frankly, I have not seen any avatar or sig, on this or any of the other watch forums, that I would not wish to prevent my wife, children or mother viewing. All it takes is a sense of humour.
  13. Any siggy that refers to tobacco products should be deleted, immediately!
  14. New Bond St? A bit up-market for me ... I'd better order a new watch for the occasion:
  15. Wierdest job: Ungravedigger. I spent several weeks exhuming bodies from crypts in the grounds, and under the building, of a redundant church in King St. Hammersmith. I believe the site is now a Polish Community centre. No. I am not joking.
  16. The most likely cause - and the easiest to fix - is that the screw that retains the winding stem is loose. In order to prevent damage, loosen the screw shown in the pic - half a turn should be enough. Don't remove the screw - there is no need - and you will only have to put it back again. Re-insert the stem, turning it gently as you do so - give the gears a chance to mesh. Then check that the screw indicated in the pic below is tight. If that does not solve the problem, seek professional - or at least, more experienced, advice. The briges on your movement may not look like those in the photo. Don't worry, ... this is from an early 111 rep - the special dyslexia edition
  17. There are plenty of Brits on the boards. You are not alone.
  18. Surfing at work is theft. You contracted to exchange your time and labour for cash. You are in breach of contract. You are a thief.
  19. Look here, Faber: https://www.thorntonwatch.com/displayProduc...mp;categoryId=9 You can get two straps and stay inside your budget. Or he has genuine aligator at $50. I'm planning to try a couple. All his 26, 24 & 22mm lug straps have 20mm buckle ends. This might be a problem for you.
  20. Don't bother with thumbnails, just reduce your pics to 8 or 9 inches wide before uploading them. That way, they will fit on my monitor :-) Nice pics, by the way.
  21. I fitted a Davidsen caseback to an Arktos case. Don't know where the Arktos came from, though. I suppose the real answer to your question is - maybe.
  22. Their Panerai section should be headed "For amusement only".
