  1. Jos Nana carries Breitling straps with buckle. www.perfect-c;ones.com Banda - www. banda.com - will make any strap you want - made to measure - at very reasonable cost.
  2. A new sucker has entered the bidding for the "1973". Some people have more money than sense.
  3. @Admin, where was the shop? In Lowu Commercial City... or somewhere ele? Directions, or even an address would be appreciated.
  4. Does this watch bear a resemblance to any known real Pannie? I searched... all I could find were more reps just like this... all over the internet.
  5. Match your cufflinks to your watch. Silver cufflinks look bad with a rose-gold watch - and vice-versa. If you are into coloured straps, hunting down matching cufflinks on e-bay will further prevent you from having a life...
  6. @Willith - for a mind-boggling experience, visit the Tokyo fish market. You'll have to get up early in the morning in order to see it in full swing.. but worth the effort. I assure you, you won't have ever seen anything like it. When you have seen enough - you won't have the stamina to see it all - have a sushimi breakfast in one of the market-worker's cafes that you'll find on the perimeter of the market. It will be the freshest sushimi that you'll ever eat.
  7. Hi Admin, Sorry to hear that you have problems, again. Tomorrow will be better...
  8. Thanks for tip - I have ordered mine.
  9. Don't miss the famous echo in the British Museum Reading Room!
  10. Well, you could refuse to accept delivery. Talk to your dealer first... because he won't have put a genuine return address on the package. Or you could create a suitable invoice yourself in MSWord...
  11. Take afternoon tea at the Ritz hotel. Said to be one of the best entertainments in London. You probably need to book. Check it out, here: http://www.theritzlondon.com/tea/ Drink Fullers beer - their "London Pride" is lovely, whilst "ESB" is astonishing. Take a walk up Bond Street and have a jolly good laugh at the prices being asked for genuine watches. Pugwash was nearly right... but I think he should have suggested Steak and Kidney Pudding. The pie is good - but the pudding will really stick to your ribs.
  12. A more economical alternative might be Banda's curved-end strap, here: http://www.banda.com/catalogue.php?category=72. I do like that carbon-fibre look, though.
  13. Only my DavidSen 195 has a sprung crown. Wow! It bounces straight out! Nice... All he others need a tug of the fingernails to extend the crown. But don't worry. Nobody is likely to call you out on this
  14. What are your expectations? If you expect the gold plating on a rep to last as long as the plating on the genuine, you may be out of luck. A rep is only a rep. Having said that, the plating on my rose gold Pam 147 from Joshua shows no sign - whatever - of wear and I wear it a lot. Best idea... talk to your dealer. Ask him how long he is prepared to stand behind the plating. Don't be surprised if you don't get a 20 year guarantee. Be reasonable.. at rep prices, you can replace your watch annually... and still be ahead of the deal, had you bought a genuine, instead.
  15. Easy... The 111 is the design classic (as has already been said) You will discover new delights on this watch for years to come. The elegant simplicity is very deceptive. The 063 GMT is beautiful, refined... and pratical. There is a big, wide, wonderful world of timezones out there... The 187 Radiomir is pure sophistication.. No Pam collection should be without these three. So you probably need two more wives.
  16. Big watches look dead sexy on ladies. I wandered into my local CD store a while ago... the girl behind the counter was wearing a Breitling. We talked about it for a while - she said it belonged to her father. Had a nice conversation. It was quite a while before I realised that she was, in fact, a very attractive young lady. I hadn't been looking in the usual direction. I mean... all girls have breasts... but this one had a Breitling.
  17. Hurry back, Willith! Only kidding!
  18. Reported to ebay - leading bidders advised.
  19. Yet again... the rep looks better than the original Can you tell us the source of the rep buckle?
  20. Here is another comparison... a new (generic) screw - and one that was removed from a brand new Rep. Good reason to check - and if necessary, replace - your lug screws. It looks to me as if the screw was power-driven into a drilled - but not threaded - hole, in the hope that it would cut its own thread. Not best engineering practice Loktite is your friend...
  21. Strap screws often have damaged threads. I think the Chinese assemble them with hammers This means that the threads in your lugs may not be as crisp as they should be. A little drop of thread-lock will give you peace of mind. Edit to add: I was delighted by the excellence of the threads on my DavidSen 195. All Pannie reps should be built to this standard.
  22. Admin, don't go. You are one of the good guys.
