Balvenie is pretty smooth and similar to a Irish whiskey... Also try some Speysides - they tend to be a little bit less harsh (for lack of a better term. Also, while a lot will consider it sacrilegious, don't be afraid to try it with some branch water and/or ice. Might be just the thing to turn you onto proper Scotches...
Cheers ww12345. I got a speyside "Glenrothes". Great drop!! The shift is happening..... Onward!!!

I completely agree, I keep coming back to this post to eye the 39mm Oyster Perpetual, the grey/black is my favourite though. I have been considering the 39mm Explorer in gen as my next large purchase but I could be looking at the Oyster Perpetual instead.
It's a great looking watch, however it would have been really really great if it had a date. However it's on my wish list for sure, 39 mm is the perfect size. Can't wait to see this one in the flesh!!

Hi All,
Found your site, probably like most of you, after months / years of watch viewing...!! Interested in the builds that people are doing - some look incredible.
Have been collecting watches for 3 years and have discovered my grail - the rolex explorer 1016. So I'm hoping to find one here.
Cheers
Kevin

Awesome 1016 Rolojack. I'm new, any ideas where can get a good 1016 ready made from? Not ready for the whole DIY piece yet..!
