  1. Found this link :)

    http://www.ehow.com/how_4856375_replace-ta...-watchband.html

My question now is what length do I need? 8, 9, 10, or 11mm spring bars?

Thanks for the replies. Not saying that I'm not comfortable doing it... Just not sure of the procedure :) Sounds like replacing the spring bar won't require removing the back off the watch... What's the method for removing the spring bar(s)? I've got a mental image of how to install...

If you aren't comfortable with replacing a spring bar, I'd highly suggest you just take it to a watchsmith. If you don't have a watchsmith, a jewlery repair place in the mall will do fine. Should be a cheap fix.
  3. I bought a Tag Link Chrono fro, Josh about 1.5yrs ago... Been wearing is pretty much every day and still works like a charm... Well, apart from one of the pins that holds the strap into the watch face (bezel?) has come out. Not completely, but I'd like to fix it before I lose the watch when it eventually fails...

Looks like the back of the watch has to be removed to access / replace the pin.

    Any advice on doing this?

Overall, I love the watch... :D

  4. Thanks for the info...

You will see in a number of reps that the spring bars are not straight and have been bent by the installer to get them to fit into the lug holes in the case. It is simply a matter that the holes in the case were not properly located to meet the springs bars (once they are in the bracelet). Not ideal but I would say 50% of the rep watches I buy are like this.

Tip: If the spring bars are bent do not take them out of the bracelet if you decide to take the bracelet out and use a strap. Leave the sping bars in the bracelet and tape them so they do not fall out. If you take them out to use with the strap OR mix them in with other spring bars it may be difficult to install the bracelet again!!

  5. Sorry I dont have pics avail to post right now... But I've had my Tag Chrono for a couple weeks now and looking closely at the lugs (I think that's the right word) either side of the face on the back of the watch... the pin going through doesn't look to be straight. Not sure if it's like that from new, or if the pins are mounted diagonally, not at a 90deg to the inside face of the lugs, ... Just hoping that i've not bent the pins somehow and end up having the Rep fall of my wrist :thumbsupsmileyanim: Comments plz.

  6. So... I've had my Rep TH Chrono for a couple weeks now... really happy with it, and quite a few people have complimented on my *nice* watch hehe. My question is... I got it from Josh in the UK and his site says "water-reisistant". I'm curious (without dunking it in a bucket of water) as to HOW water-resistant it is? I've worn it in some rain but that's it. Not planning on wearing it in the shower... and not diving to 200m either... but ya know, just curious as to what the limitations are without having a financial lesson in finding out myself :victory:

  7. ok, cool, thanks for the replies to my n00b questions :) ... Managed to resize it tonight and fits like a glove. Wife keeps asking me if I blew $2800 on gen haha. She is from HK and still is having trouble believing me that it's a rep lmao. Fits me perfect after removing two links and totally looks the business.

  8. I got my first rep today and quite thrilled with the quality of it. So far, only thing that is a little disappointing is the function of the chrono buttons. The Start / Stop one is a bit clunky to push in... The Reset button works just fine. Anyone know of a way to improve a not-so-good chrono button?
