I can definitively say that I´m not a Rolex man, but I know that there is a lot of quality there, but anyway I follow more what I like, than what is liked as a status symbol
And when I have to spend money I will always try to find the best connection between what I like, how much it is really worthing (physically, and not because of a passing fad) and the price, considering that I´m not a Croesus...
