Yes, it seems that to this day OP is still doing single sided AR coatings only. This makes sense on the crystals with cyclopes, but not so much on ones without such as the 196, etc. Perhaps they only want one process for all crystals, and that would mean single sided. I'm not sure.

Future AR runs will be double sided. I have no plans for another single sided run any time soon. As I've told everyone, just look for the sign up thread in the Repair and Upgrade forum. This time, however, I will be giving preference to previous AR participants, VIP members, and well established, active posters in roughly that order. The last couple runs have had a fair number of drop outs, and I want to minimize that in the future.

I've got a spare Ubi datewheel if you need one.

LOL... I shipped off about two dozen coated crystals back to their owners today, and there will be AR runs coming up in the next month or so. Just taking a break.

Well I am no 1675 expert, but this sure is a great looking watch. I think the aging is very well done, and the hands look good to me but could use a little patina. Obviously the dial and crystal make the watch, aesthetically. And the bracelet is icing on the cake. The insert could be improved, but is aged nicely and will play the part faithfully until you upgrade it. All in all, a great watch and one that will be alot of fun to wear!

The thinner numbers are more accurate. And that new pearl is an improvement also. So I would say you've modded the Noobmariner for the better here.

I think it was repaustria who started a thread sometime back, which I can not seem to find now, about bezel insert aging techniques... Detergent was mentioned, and I'm wonder what kind of detergent is working for people? Tide with bleach doesn't do the trick for me. Thanks!

I'll be easy on you... You need to read, read, and then read some more. Typically you'll take a little flak for having two posts and coming on the forum asking "Who has the best sub?" The info is on the forum and the search function is your best friend as a newbie. And to help get you started, let me suggest you try some search strings like "MBW", "TW Best", and "Noobmariner". Then, also notice pinned posts at the top of the sub forums containing reviews by charter members like By-Tor, Tribal, Ubiquitous and others. And, lastly, if you wind up buying a "Grade AAA" replica, you can probably rest assured that you're getting ripped off. Good luck.
