I'm not familiar with that watch. But if it has a black dial, then AR is very easy to notice. At certain angles, when you catch some light in the crystal, you will just see a bluish tint. On white dial watches, the AR color (not the lack of reflections) is harder to notice. Try reflecting some flourescent light off your cystal if it has a white dial, and look at the color of the reflection. It'll be more subtle, but you should see a slight blue in the reflection.

All, I'm hoping that round 2 will be out the door next week. Once it is, we'll organize round 3. I already know of one dropout in round 3 so there could be some extra space. As far as singles, I think there might be enough demand for that to do it in round 4.... I have at least one for a single run myself.

Clark's sub hands are no good. I have a set and had The Zigmeister lume them before I realized how terrible they were. I should have put them on the watch to better assess them before getting the lume job. Oh well.

I would agree. An $80 VIPmariner and a $149 Paul ETA sub could be combined to create a watch that would be even nicer than an MBW 16610. And at $230 vs. nearly $400 for the MBW it's a complete no brainer.

@SportsRider - Good break down. I have to stand by my conical rehaut observation though. In this picture below, you really shouldn't be able to see the rehaut ring all the way around. The only reason you can is because the ring is not cylindrical. Or is the LV version not a VIPmariner?

It has that newer conical rehaut, which for me, is very distracting. It does have a deeper rehaut than the Noob, though, and that's good. The dial isn't as good as the Noob dial. And that minute hand looks like it came off an LV! These are just the things I notice at first glance.

I have the older out-of-production Ti Seawolf, and in fact it's going in for AR imminently. Mine has the He valve. Very odd that they omitted it from this new model.

You're right that the Noob date wheel isn't perfect. You were buying gen date wheels off EBay at one point, right? I remember OFrei had some generic 3135 wheels but don't don't if the print is any better than the Noob. And, by the way, how do you make a 3135 wheel fit on a 2836?

My weekend started today (Friday), and although I'm spending alot of time in the wood shop where I don't wear a watch, I will find some time to sport this guy on Easter Sunday....

The TW Best appears to be the old case to me. It looks just like mine. That rehaut looks cylindrical, and those lugholes appear to be centered. The newer TW Classics had neither of those attributes. Notice from straight-on how you don't really see the side of the rehaut ring.

That'd do it... Good info. I almost have to wonder if the picture is just wrong because the seller I've found to be reliable. It might be worth sending him a message asking specifically about this.
