The message from the American CEO in terms of economic insight is well documented: Get government out of our way. It's too expensive and risky to hire workers in the current tax and regulatory environment, and therefore the demand for American labor continues to diminish and the desire to start up new business on American soil is at an all time low. So, for example, I could create millions of jobs literally overnight by doing one simple thing: abolishing minimum wage laws. But now, how do you get the politicians to go along for the ride, well that's where the beef really is.
I'd expect to see a lot of Presidentials (I.e. gold or platinum day dates).
I'm curious about AP as well. I'd expect it to be the next most popular among this crowd.... But then the complete absence of Patek surprises me quite a bit, so who knows.
Being in the industry myself, and working just down the street from Apple world headquarters, let me just say that this has Silicon Valley in a frenzy.
Here's an email from John Cooley who runs DeepChip.com, a discussion board centering around semiconductor development, that puts things in a computer nerd perspective...
And for the uninitiated, HW = hardware, SW = software
I'm not sure slightly sunken vs not is a QC issue. If there is a rubber o-ring under the screw head, then the amount of sunken-ness (to coin a new term) probably depends on how much they're tightened down. I.e. if you loosen slightly, they might go from recessed to flush.
Also, a nice anal retentive mod might be to slightly round over the screw heads and re-polish. For me, I don't care.
Strange problem with the gen NOS bezel and gen service replacement crystal. One or the other needs a hair of material shaved off in order to prevent cracking of the crystal during installation of the bezel. The Zigmeister is currently taking care of the issue.
You've got the right people in the thread previously identifying it as gen, so no need to worry there.... but I'd still want to sort out that warranty card issue with the seller.
PS, if you keep it long term - definitely get it serviced at the proper intervals. Don't wait for something to stop working.
The master lume artist is in Canada. I'm in the US, and have been going to him since long before doing lume work was a twinkle in Vac's eye. That's not to say Vac doesn't do a nice job. But there's just one Zigmeister. You can't go wrong there.

I think the screw heads are slightly different between the rep and gen... The rep screw heads are flat, while the gen screw heads have a very slight curvature. So maybe you're both correct.
Finding parts may be a bit challenging for ladies models. Also I wonder how you'll fit the ETA movement in the gen case. On the men's side a custom movement ring is usually used. I've never seen one for a woman's case.
The one on the left needs a bezel. The one on the right gets the most wrist time at the moment.
Another one to remain nameless is up in Canada undergoing some wizardry. And the one at the bottom is my beater.
My post was specifically referring to the finer details not addressed in franken versions. With a franken, it's worth the money to either add genuine pushers, or to mod the rep pushers as follows:

So that tell is gone.
