  1. Yep, gotta go with gen pinions. They work like charm for the hands, but somehow make winding the beast a bit dodgy... Nothing major, though.
  2. Phong sells a fantastic case which is indistinguishable from a service replacement case. And he also sells a crap case that is indistinguishable from the NDT case. Phong also does excellent engraving. Good luck with the gen hands on the 3019. I don't recommend crimping. Gotta go with gen pinions.
  3. Good stuff, buddy.
  4. Dig the 156! Congrats on the nice pieces!
  5. I know. Even my nearly gen 3717 has been collecting dust.
  6. They are definitely comfortable.... D, love the PVD with that dial!
  7. DirecTV. No complaints. Lots of sports.
  8. Keep the polished center links, IMO. They're not nearly as gaudy in person as they appear in pics.

A beautiful story, KB... Be well.
  10. Very nice sub....
  11. Why'd you get rid of it, red? Didn't know they used Brembo brakes... Maybe just on R models?
  12. Been toying with the idea of getting some new wheels... The Volvo S80 T6 caught my eye on the road the other day. Metallic silver with some nice wheels, just like the pic below. Any opinions on this one? Unfortunately, here in the USA, the diesel versions are not available. I had a business ride in the UK a few months back in a diesel S80, and was very much impressed.
  13. The Zigmeister was traumatized by mine, I'm sure... I'm just glad he still speaks to me. Mine is tight during time setting, and much better in the counterclockwise direction for whatever reason. It does not bother me, so long as crowns don't continue breaking! At some point down the road, after Zig has perfected the procedure on Ubi's, I'll send mine up for a full breakdown servicing and hopefully convince him to take care of it at that time.
  14. Heh... Didn't intend for this one to be an 'exit watch' but I haven't worn anything else in ages:
  15. Heh, there you go.
  16. You want honesty? Grotesque. There, I said it. Dude... you're a Brietling guy through and through... This doesn't suit you, IMHO.
  17. Boring is not the word I would use to describe that watch. Gorgeous is more like it! Very nicely done, sander. I want one!
  18. I've probably smoked 5 cigars in my entire life, usually when friends announced a new baby on the way. The last one was a Cohiba from Cuba, and it knocked me out. The room was spinning for an hour. I've had a Cuban Punch too... My favorite was probably a Hoyo De Monterrey, or a simple Macanudo. Both of those were much more mild.
  19. Hey cougaree, what do you mean the watch crystal comes out as the bezel is removed? I'd thought the V3 had a slightly better bezel than the V2, and you wouldn't want / need to remove it. What's the downside to the V3 vs V2? Hmm, it's probably time to sell one of my V2 frankens that I never wear.
  20. Looks good. Looks like diamondcastle on Ebay. Note minor blemishes on 12 and 6pm markers. Might not be bothersome to you, but it's good to look this one over with a fine tooth comb given the price! Good luck with your project. I love this color dial!
  21. Fanatastic post, Ronin. Very, very fun to read and the eye candy was superb. Well done, my friend. Enjoy this one!!
  22. White dials are very nice. Enjoy this one!
  23. I believe I've read they were offered between 6M and 8M serials... for a brief period, but they're definitely out there.
